Her Name Was Aria

I turned to the TV and pushed the button on the remote by my bedside to turn it on. The default station just happened to be a news station and the first thing I saw was a video of the sasaeng fan shooting at Baekhyun and me jumping in to save his life. The clip played on repeat and usually I would have been pleased to watch my success, but seeing myself on TV only irritated me.

Why did I need to be on the news? Wasn't there something more important going on in the world to report on other than me?

I was about to change the channel when an anchor started talking:

"For those of you just tuning in now, there has been a dangerous situation at one of the SBS countdowns today. A fan pulled out a gun on EXO member Baekhyun and shot at him but before anything bad could happen their bodyguard, Aria, tackled him to the ground and saved him. However, in the process of this, the bodyguard was shot instead and is currently in the hospital. Her state of health is unknown, but one thing is for certain: this bodyguard is the ultimate hero. If she had not acted so quickly, who knows what would have happened to Baekhyun."

I was pleased with what the anchor said about me being a hero, but I still wanted the news to stop reporting on it.

"Now we go live to Panelist Kim who is outside the hospital that the bodyguard was taken to."

"What!?" I yelled, sitting up straight and glaring at the tv.

The scenery changed to a well dressed girl who was standing outside a hospital that I could only assume was mine. Surrounding her were many other news vans and reporters all talking about me.

'What the hell.' I thought.

"Hello everybody, I'm outside the hospital that bodyguard Aria is confirmed to be staying in. Still no news on her condition. But I can confirm that she was shot in the arm. So, very low chance that she's dead."

I got up out of bed, pulling the ivy out of my arm to look outside my small window and see what was happening. My room wasn't super high up, so I could see all the new crews that were stationed below. It was a strange feeling knowing that all of these people were interested in my well-being when just days before many jealous fans wanted me dead. Now all of South Korea was watching my hospital with bated breath hoping I was alive all because I saved a celebrity.

"Oh, hold on a second." I heard the anchor say on the television screen. "I'm hearing that EXO has left the building. Let's go see what they have to say about their bodyguard."

"I'm sick of watching this." I muttered as I turned the TV off and went back to my bed with my arms crossed.

I wasn't even famous and having this little bit of tabloid annoyance was driving me insane. I wanted to go out and tell the news stations to get lost, but I knew it would only reflect badly on EXO, and I didn't want that to happen. Also I was no where near prepared to be bombarded with cameras and questions from strangers.

So, no matter how difficult it was, I had to remain in that boring hospital room and stay quiet until I was to be discharged from the hospital the next day.

I had never liked doctors, and therefore I hated being in doctors offices. So being stuck in the a hospital room was like a super boring nightmare. Not only was I extremely bored, but I was also worried the doctor might come in and stick me with more needles, and I hated needles.

I had been injured many ways in my life, thrown over shoulders, beat to exhaustion all for the sake of training. But the idea of being stuck with needles terrified me more than anything in the world.

I suppose it was just another strange part of my personality that even I couldn't explain.

I had been watching cartoon for at least two hours when the door to my hospital room was pushed open. It was late and dark, therefore I couldn't tell who was coming into the room. At first I thought it was Kris, but my heart sank when I saw that it was Tao.
