Episode 4: Imagination Station

Kaos looked over the map to the Core of Light, a look of frustration on his face. Glumshanks walked into the room, carrying a platter of food for Kaos.

Glumshanks:
Your dinner, Sir.

Kaos only grunts and swipes the food off of the platter that Glumshanks had prepared for him. The troll facepalmed in annoyance.

Glumshanks:
How is your working going, Master?

Kaos:
How do you think? This map is so outdated, I can't tell where that is in the Skylands! It wouldn't have killed that old fool to make his maps a little more up to date.

Suddenly, a massive screen appeared before the two. It showed a figure under a black hood that seemed menacing. Kaos and Glumshanks jumped back in fear of the stranger.

???:
Kaos, I hear you have found the map to the Core of Light.

Kaos:
I-I have. Wait, who are you?

???:
That is not important. What is important is that is time for you to meet your....

Kaos:
My what?

???:
....your....

Kaos:
My doom? Tell me it's not my doom.

???:
....MOTHER!!!!

The hooded figure removed her hood, revealing her to be Kaos' mother, Kaossandra. Kaos frowned in annoyance at the appearance of his mother, but he pressed on.

Kaos:
Oh, Mother, and just what are you calling for.

Kaossandra:
I heard you managed to steal the map to the Core of Light, good for you. You made it farther than I thought you would.

Kaos:
Yes, and I will destroy the core and rule all of the Skylands.

Kaossandra:
Oh come on, we both know your career in villainy would go nowhere, and it hasn't since you moved out. I would recommend getting a real job sometime soon.

Kaos;
Okay, thank you for calling me, Mother, but I am a very busy man and I don't have any more time to talk, so....good day.

Kaos then used his powers to make Kaossandra's illusion call disappear. He then punched the wall in anger, effectively leaving a crack in it. Glumshanks jumped back in fear and walked back to the table.

Kaos:
Hmm, Mother thinks I can't make it in villainy. Well, I'll show her! I show them all! Hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

The cadets are led to the training fields by Pit Boss for their class. Pit Boss takes his staff and slithers to the front of all the cadets. He then claps his hands, receiving their attention.

Pit Boss:
Alright, cadetsssss, today your training will get a little more fffffffun.

Spyro:
I sure hope so, Professor Aurora just made us right that essay.

Pit Boss smirked at Spyro's comment and slithered to face the field. He then used his staff and in a flash of purple light, a Fire Viper appeared before them. All the cadets jumped back and screamed at the appearance of the viper.

Pit Boss:
Don't worry, it'sssssss only an illusssssion. I created it to help you all with today's lessons: facing monsters.

Spyro:
Okay, now that sounds fun.

Pit Boss:
Okay, I will be sssssssplitting you all into groupssssss of three, and you will try to defeat the illussssion. Underssssssstood?

Eventually all the cadets were divided into groups of three. Group by group, each of the cadets fought and defeated the viper, each becoming more successful. As each group complete their training, only one group remained: Spyro, Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy. They all stepped up to face the fire viper illusion.
