Skylanders Journey: Season 1

Episode 6: Good and Evil: Part 1

Cynder stood in a very long, shadowy landscape, barren of all life. She looked out into the distance, seeing that there was truly nothing, at least, nothing living. Suddenly a figure swooped behind her, alerting her of the danger.

Cynder:
Who's there?

Cynder now backed away, fearful of the sudden appearance of an unwelcome attacker. Suddenly? A massive, shadowy figured towered over her. The figure had glowing red eyes and took the shape of a dragon.

Cynder:
No-no.

Suddenly the massive figure breathed fire down onto her.

Cynder then shot awake, realizing that she remained in her bed in her academy dormitory. The violet dragon wrapped the blanket around herself and shivered while whispering to herself in an attempt to calm down.

Cynder:
It's okay, it was just a dream. Just a bad, terrifying dream. He hasn't found me. He'll never find me.

Suddenly a knock appeared on the door to her dorm. It was Hex, who was now knocking to get her to open and come out.

Hex:
Cynder, come on. Master Eon has an important announcement.

Cynder:
I-I'm coming.

Cynder then crawled out from her bed and flew over to the door. She knew that something from Master Eon would ease her mind, and she had nothing to loose at this point. She then arrived with the other cadets in the main hall of the Academy. Master Eon stepped onto his podium, ready for the early announcement.

Eon:
Today is a great day, cadets. For today, marks your mid-year trial.

All the cadets gasp at the mention of the trial that Eon speaks of. Eon takes a step further and oversees the crowd of cadets.

Eon:
Yes, now for the trial each of you will be split into teams of two, teams we have already chosen. For our first team: Gill Grunt and Eruptor! Drobot and Sprocket! Flameslinger and Stealth Elf!

The list went on for a rather long time. Eon listed every team, one by one. Soon enough, he was down to the last few teams.

Eon:
Hex and Fright Rider. And finally: Spyro and Cynder!

Cynder suddenly gasped at the thought of being pared with Spyro. She looked and saw as Spyro came and walked towards her.

Eon:
You have twelve hours to train and prepare for your trials. I will see you all when we are to begin.

Spyro walked up to Cynder and startled her. Cynder jumped back in surprise, much to Spyro's own shock.

Spyro:
Oh, sorry to scare you, I'm just excited.

Cynder:
It's fine, I'm just a little jumpy this morning.

Spyro:
It's fine, we better get started.

Cynder:
Okay.

The two dragons walked out of the Academy, ready for their training.

Spyro took to the skies and soared through the air. He through an apple into the air, did a barrel roll and finally blasted the apple with a fireball. Spyro flew back down and took his place behind Cynder.

Spyro:
Okay, it's your turn, Cynder.

Cynder:
Oh, so I have to do all that?

Spyro:
Yeah, but it's easy. I know you got this. Now come on, give it a shot.

Cynder:
O-okay.

Cynder then took to the skies in the same manner that Spyro did. Spyro then took the apple, ready to throw it up into the air. Cynder looped around and Spyro threw the apple into the air. However when Cynder tries to blast the apple with her lightning, she misses and crashes into a tree. Spyro quickly flies to the tree and helps Cynder back out of it.
