Obsession - InnerPartySystem
-----
Kenny had tried his best to make it seem like he wasn't as tired as he actually was, but knew that if someone were to look into his eyes, it'd give him away. Nightmares began to plague his dreams, after the safety of his bedroom walls was stolen from him last week.
Stan had tried talking with him, but Kenny would either avoid him, or keep any conversations with him short, sensing Craig's ever lingering gaze on him. This then resulted in Stan texting him instead. However, Kenny had only dared to reply once, not wanting to do it again after catching a glimpse of Craig's threatening expression. Even when Kenny was alone, he did not dare to reply. Because he knew that even if he was alone, he wasn't.
Craig would be watching...
He was always watching...
Currently he found himself in History class, trying his best to pay attention to it and trying even harder to ignore the fact that Craig obviously wasn't going to let that happen.
"I want you to come over after school today," Craig tells him in a hushed tone, causing him to tense. "Did you hear me?" Craig asks when there's no response. Slowly, he leans towards him, a smirk with a hint of something more behind it as he closes the distance between them, "Or should I pay you another late night visit?"
Kenny's chest tightens in fear, his breathing stopping for a second.
"Why?" he asks.
"Because I want you to," Craig replies.
"I don't..." Kenny shakes his head.
"So you want me to visit you again?" Craig's smirk grows. Kenny falls silent, chewing nervously at the inside of his cheek and rubbing the back of his hand with his thumb in soothing circles. "I'll take your silence as a yes then—"
"Fine," Kenny replies.
'Hm?"
"I'll go over..."
"Good," Craig smiles and moves away.
Kenny hated himself for agreeing to it, but the fear of having to go through what he did last time terrified him. No matter how he looked at it, he could either go along and brace himself for the worse, or be caught in a very vulnerable situation again. Despite keeping his window locked ever since, Craig's words made it very clear that he knew of other ways to break into his house besides just the window.
For the remainder of the school day, Kenny's anxiety grows. It spikes when the last bell rings and he's forced to walk Craig home.
A small buzz goes off in his pocket during the walk there, a text, but he ignores it like the others. He didn't have to look at it to guess that it was most likely from Stan, since he had made a bit of a scene in gym class. Stan had tried to talk with him during it, by tapping his shoulder, which immediately caused Kenny to visibly flinch. He knew his reaction must've made him even more concerned than he already was, and that it must've grown even more when Craig stepped in to drag him off.
"Give me your hand," Craig instructs when noticing Kenny's hand hovering over his pocket. Kenny hesitates. He didn't want to, but does as he says, fearing the possible repercussions if he refused. Craig squeezes it in his hold, "My hand is the only thing you need to be holding."
They continue the rest of the walk in silence, until reaching Craig's place. When entering, Kenny had at least hoped that someone else would be there, but there wasn't. It was only them.
