Ok continue reading 👇🏻Meera's pov ~
He strode through the hallways with an imposing presence, his fury making him look more dangerousin the glistening moonlight.
His heavy feet thudded against the marble floor, echoing through the vast chamber like the drums of war. The sword at his side, gleaming menacingly, swayed with each determined step.
I was walking beside him with my head helt high looking straight to the way to my tormentor.
My eyes were just in need and hunger to see him all broke and vulnerable. Nothing but defenseless. Still his touch was lingering over my body and I will not forget it until I see him begging infront of me.
I turn my head sidewards to ranasa who was fuming in anger, with each step his long bangs bouncing on his shoulders and his hand holding the handle of sword, turning his knuckles white, ready to bath in the blood of vikram.
As we enter dungeon all gaurds bow their head down and enlighten further our way with extra lampfires in the dark prison.
I lowered my veil upto my forehead and scanned the surroundings.
I gulped down looking at the bloody beings lying behind the bars at each step screaming for some mercy.
I clutched my fingers to the fabric of my duppata as we move forward. I was walking behind him looking at every detail coming to my way but suddenly collided with a hard wall.
I scrunched and rubbed my nose a little and moved my gaze forward. Oh! This is not wall but my husband.
I gave a awkward smile to him and again turn to look back at the man who was barely alive. Or I would say he is already dead but still gaurds were beating him.
He must have sensed my fear as I felt him gently taking my palm into his. I turn my head and look at him, he gave a light squeeze and smiled a little which was only noticed by me. He nodded his head telling me everything is fine and I smiled back.
I nodded my head back and we move forward in the darkness.
Gaurds were standing outside the lockup while some were inside waiting for him to get conscious, to beat him to death again as per devarsa's order. We step inside and the gaurds bow down.
He was lying turning his back but his bloody clothes were enough to tell his condition. I folded my toes with the sudden uneasiness as the memory of the brutal night hit me.
Ranasa look at me and the rage in his eyes was at its peak. Veins were poping out from his forehead and he clenched his jaw tightly and said.
"Wake him up."
He order the gaurds gritting his teeth, eyes fixed on the man lying on the floor with his back facing us. One of the gaurd came forward and throw cold water on his face and he moved slightly.
"Urrrggghh"
He groaned slowly and ranasa clenched his jaw tightening his grip around the hilt of his sword, the metal strap creaking under the pressure.
