The aroma of food made Pavel's tummy growl in hunger. He got up from the bed and checked the time; it was almost 8 pm.

Pavel looked at his phone and saw multiple messages from his wife. As he read through them, his phone buzzed with a video call. It was his daughter, little Prim.

"Papa, when are you coming home?" Prim asked, blowing little kisses to the screen.

Pavel smiled and blew a flying kiss back. "I'll be home soon, sweetie."

Then his wife, Jacqueline, appeared on the screen. "Where are you, Pavel?"

He hesitated before replying, "I'm staying with a friend. We had some business stuff to talk about."

Jacqueline asked Prim to move away and took the phone to a more private spot. "Take care and use protection," she said casually.

Pavel almost screamed, "Jacqueline, what??"

She chuckled. "What? Come on, I know there's a girl with you. It's fine, I really don't mind if you sleep with her, but please use protection, okay?"

Pavel was stunned by her words. "Jacqueline, are you serious?"

"It's fine, Pavel," she said gently. "You don't have to be stuck with me. Go and enjoy your life. But promise me that you won't make her pregnant, okay?"

Pavel gulped, struggling to find the right words. How could he explain that he was staying with a man, not a woman? He just nodded, cutting the call after saying goodnight to little Prim.

When he turned around, Pooh was standing there, smiling. "Wow, your wife is so supportive. So, shall we use protection?"

"Shut up," Pavel snapped, feeling a mix of frustration and embarrassment. He left the room, trying to escape the awkwardness, but Pooh followed closely behind.

"Pavel, wait," Pooh called out, catching up to him.

Pavel stopped and turned to face him, his eyes blazing. "This isn't a joke, Pooh. My wife thinks I'm with another woman, and I don't even know how to begin explaining all of this."

Pooh's expression softened. "why can't you just tell her that i kidnapped you ?"

Pavel sighed, " Do you this it's easy to say such a thing ?"

 Pooh muttered, "let's just eat."

They walked to the dining area, where a delicious spread awaited them. Pavel tried to push his worries aside, focusing on the meal in front of him. As they ate, the tension between them eased slightly, though the air was still charged with unresolved emotions.

Pooh watched Pavel intently, a mix of admiration and concern in his eyes. "You know, Pavel, you don't have to carry all this alone. I'm here for you, in whatever way you need."

Pavel looked up, meeting Pooh's gaze. For the first time, he saw not just the playful teasing but also genuine care and understanding. "Thank you," he said softly. "I appreciate it."

They finished their meal in a more comfortable silence, each lost in their own thoughts. Despite the strange and complicated situation, Pavel couldn't deny that having Pooh around made him feel less alone.
