"Ella!" Aria shouted, "Tell the driver to change direction! We have to go to hospital, now!" Ella nodded, and quickly told the driver. I felt the carriage turn, and soon we were off to the hospital
As soon as we got there, Aria and I jumped out and raced inside.
"Excuse me, I need to see someone by the name of William Jackson?" Aria said to the front desk.
"Ah, yes, Room 213," The woman smiled, but Aria and I were already off. The door was open, so Aria ran in. There, sitting on the bed, was Will.
"Aria?" He looked at our frantic faces, "Why are you-" Aria grabbed him into a hug. He looked like he was about to cry as he hugged her back.
"I'm sorry," Aria whispered, "Mom thought you were dead and that I killed you." He pulled away, frowning at the mention of his mom.
"Well Mom's an idiot," He scowled, "Seriously, did she even check my pulse? I passed out, though I'm not sure why. I've been here for the past 2 weeks. The first 3 days I was unconscious, and for the rest of the days the doctors have been testing me for any sickness or allergies."
"Hey, Will," I interrupted, "I- I need to ask you something. In private?" A look of realization passed over his face.
"Alright. Ri, think you could step out for a bit?" He asked her. She nodded, and went outside.
"Why'd you do it?" I demanded as soon as the door closed. He leaned back in the bed.
"I- you're gonna hate me," He sighed.
"Eh, that kinda already happened, might as well just tell me."
"Alright, look, basically at school I was getting bullied and I got pissed. I wanted to get them back, but they were bigger and could probably kill me. So I- I took out my anger on Ri. She didn't deserve that at all, I can't believe I did it. She probably hates me now."
"Wow," I breathed, "I didn't know it was physically possible to hate you more but here I am. Seriously though, she still loves you Will. She's way too forgiving for her own good, which you should probably know by now. And because of that, I will tolerate you, for her. Hurt her again though, and I will-"
"So, you guys done?" Aria burst into the room.
"Yeah, we're done Snowflake," I smiled at her. She looked suspicious, but dropped it.
"Anyways, I just checked in with a doctor and you're free to go!" She grinned, "Everyone else is in the carriage-"
"Everyone else?" Will questioned.
"Ella, Snow, Rapunzel, Rose, Prince Jaxon, Gilly," I explained, "We'll fill you in later." He nodded, then stood up from his bed.
"Wait," He planted his feet on the floor, "How will I know why I passed out?"
"We'll figure it out," Aria promised, "But for now, let's skedaddle."
-----------------------------------------
And skedaddle we did. After a lengthy conversation of Aria and the princesses (which I was not allowed to join), and Will going back home, and suffering through Gilly and Jax's flirting, I finally got to just hang out with Aria.
We decided to go down a path, and settled on the one we had gone on the day Aria told me that she was a princess. We sat down on a rock, looking at the streaks of pink and orange painting the sky.
"We've had a lot go on, huh?" Aria said after a while.
"Yeah," I agreed, "Our lives have definitely been hectic. It's nice to have a break." And it was. I felt content and happy and-
"I guess I just feel, like, content and happy, don't you?" Aria smiled to herself.
"Seriously Snowflake, are you sure you're not an Empath?" I teased.
"Wow," She grinned, "Very funny. But like, still, isn't it nice?" And the realization hit me.
"Aria, you never answered my question," I narrowed my eyes, "Like, ever. Are you?"
"Am I what?" She laughed nervously, inching away.
"You know what I mean!"
"Whaaaaat? Noooo- maybe yes."
"Aria!" I jumped up, "Seriously? You acted like you didn't know anything when I told you about my ability!"
"I didn't know how to tell you!"
"Again, you could've told me when I told you mine!"
"I know, and I'm sorry, but-"
"But what?"
"Please don't get mad," She begged.
"A bit late on that request," I rolled my eyes.
"Felix-"
"I'm going home," I said, standing up. She didn't make a move to stop me, so I quickly left, walking down the path, past her house, and to my own. Gilly was still at Royal Manor, so I didn't bump into anyone. The twins were at their friend's house, Trixie at her best friend's house, and Mom and Dad were out somewhere.
I stormed up the stairs, before reaching my room and flopping onto my beds.
Stupid secrets.
This feeling, it wasn't like when Aria told me that she was a princess. I had only been a bit annoyed then. But now? I was steaming.
I had the same thing going on as her and she didn't think to tell me. What the heck? Why would she keep that from me?
"I'm so done," I muttered, "It feels like I'm in a book with way too many plot twists." With that, I fell into a dreamless sleep.
Lemme just say that Felix has no idea how true what he said is. Especially the plot twist part. Very bad plot twists, but plot twists nonetheless.
This was a very badly written chapter, probably the worst one I've written throughout this whole book, but I had a feeling that if I didn't update you guys would kill me.
Hope you enjoyed this crap!
