Lunus bowed to the imperial kings that sat with their thrones atop the dais.

"Speak, messenger" Lunus lifted his head to meet the greater King's eye. A nerve ticked in his head, reduced to a mere messenger. Of course he noticed the arrogance of the kings, they hadn't told him to stand up, though it couldn't have been possible that they hadn't known who Lunus was.

Arrogant pricks.

He cursed in his head, but didn't dare voice it out. "The Captain has asked for a message to be passed, Milord", The Greater king – Aphrone, motioned one of his guards to get the letter. The other kings that sat with their throne aligned to the wall on both the sides of the aisle followed the message, murmuring their curiosity.

Aphrone hit the arm of this throne to catch the attention of the court. "Silence, brothers", and just like that, the noisy hall fell into pin drop silence.

Aphrone frowned as he read through the message, his hand subconsciously taming his beard. A few grunts and then his eyes met Lunus'. "I reject this proposal"

Lunus' body stiffened "My king–-" Spears were thrusted in front of his face before he could continue speaking.

"Let him finish," Once the guards lowered their weapons the king spoke again "I do not understand the proposal of the commander of all knights, is this a rebellion of some sort?"

Lunus shook his head "No, my king, no such atrocity. As you already know, for a strange reason the dead are rising and killing relentlessly; even the people they once loved...but commander and I, during one of our investigations we found out that the dead were forced to do so, a 'command' someone had told us. Later we found necromancy circles in odd abandoned places, I have proof" Lunus said and passed another envelope to the king which was delivered to him by one of the guards.

Aphrone looked through all the evidence one by one, carefully examining each detail and grunting his approval on some. Micheal had been careful enough to piece them together without leaving the tiniest bit of fault in them. After a while the king set the evidences down,

"And what does this have to do with the orb of eminence, Kingkiller" kingkiller– A surname that hadn't belonged to Lunus but entitled to him. Yes. he was indeed a kind killer, but he wouldn't hesitate to do so once again should the need arise, that's why the commander probably knew that he was the best person for this job.

"The orb has purifying effects milord, our investigations have led us to believe that the 'command' is more of a taint if anything, we have reason to believe that the orb can negate the effects of the command"

"And yet none of those evidences have been given here."

"Milord, we can only prove this if the Great king grants us the permission to use the orb."

"Do not pretend to care about lives kingkiller, yours isn't one that can be purified by even the orb of eminence. Wait outside while we discuss this matter."

So Lunus sighed and walked out of the courtroom. What else could he do anyway?

...

The Firebolt flew barely touching Myr's head and collapsed with the wall. It wasn't that Myr was weak or anything, but Alfred was just the worst kind of enemy to have.

It had barely been five minutes and Myr had come down with a terrible wound on his leg (which would definitely need stitches), another on his head, and bruises almost all over his boady.

But this was a duel to death. Myr wondered if there was any way to get rid of the command. And if it could be forcefully lifted. But for now he focused on the battle ahead. He needed to find a way to render Aldred motionless somehow. Even 30 seconds was enough time for him to escape through an alleyway nearby.

Myr's skills were more about buffing and defending rather than fighting a one on one combat. Aldred took advantage of his momentary distraction and fired another firebolt that sent him rolling on the ground. He cursed under his breath as he landed on now crushed cargo boxes.

He'd come to terms with his very possible redeath when Aldred shot another firebolt at him. The impact made his body go numb with adrenaline and his eyes roll back into his head.

...

Micheal found his way through the forest, Maria's words still heavy on his head. From the sound of Maria's prophecy it feels as though I'm on the right path, but what does Maria want?

Surrender the blade and

The rose to the rebellious sea,

And you will foresee;

Bare the celestia and part the sea,

The urchins will rise;

It feels like she's talking about someone. Rebellious sea...who could it be?

Micheal came to a halt in front of a cave. If the situation wasn't so demanding, he would take time to rethink his decisions. But as things were now, sticking to one plan seemed to be the only option. And no time to rethink.

The cave's opening was covered by a stone with the carvings of the soulless insignia. A soul escaped; it symbolized. Micheal pulled out his sword and struck it into the heart of the insignia. The stone glowed green before it faded from sight, to reveal a jade filled cave, luminous of the glow of the jade stones.

Micheal took a steady breath and walked towards a dais of stone made right in the middle of the cave. A waterfall flowed from behind it. The sword in his hand, ready to draw blood.

...

In the end, the kings agreed to lend the wisp to Lunus. Lunus ought to be relaxed, but for some reason he felt an odd feeling in his heart.
An unease and it seemed to be related to the captain. The way he had looked as though he was hiding a storm behind his jade colored eyes.

The eyes of a soulless were believed to be the window to their soul. What they felt their jade colored eyes would express. Micheal was no different even though he could hide his emotions better than others. In a way his feelings were a foreign language to this world.

Nobody could understand it except for Micheal himself, but if one had stood by his side for as long as Lunus had, they would begin to understand it. Micheal's very own language. It wasn't that difficult to read him thereafter. But today it felt as though Micheal had asked Lunus to decipher a foreign word without any sort of reference.

It bothered him to not know what he was planning. And it felt like he was going to war tonight. Lunus knew that he'd stick by his side no matter what, but he was worried if Micheal knew what decision he's making and if he's thought things through.

His worries only turned to dread when he reached his cabin with the wisp and Micheal wasn't there. But on the table was a letter Addressed to Lunus to take wisp to the Golden Manor and hand it to Aldred.

What are you planning to do, commander?
