~Chapter 13 – Endless~

“How” I was breathless with the sudden shock why would anyone be so cruel even after I paid them.
“Look I’m sorry I didn’t know one minute he was there and the next bam he was gone.” he breathed tugging his disheveled black hair and might I say he looked a bit too good right now.
“No, that’s no excuse I paid you what more do you want?” I replied exasperated
I walked towards him and stared at him, this was a stupid game to him? I cannot believe how naïve I was to leave the poor pig here how stupid I was to get back to a class which I hated. I placed both hands on my face and groaned into it. I don’t even know whose animal it was and I was worrying about it like it was mine.
No animal should be left like that with someone who doesn’t want them. I was thinking too much into this but I had this tugging feeling it belonged to someone important and was very important. Call it an intuition but I really do believe I should give it to someone rather than abandon it. Which got me thinking there was an area where animals should be so I know it was meant to be here.
“Look here kid I said I was really sorry.” he mumbled as he saw me remove my hands away from my face
“No you didn’t you just said you lost it while cleaning.” I growled and he flinched I guess I hit a nerve with that comment
“Ok fine I’m very sorry please excuse my manners.” he replied muttering the last few words and I felt like grinning he really was an asshole.
“Never mind I need to go, thanks again for whatever you did.” I glared at him and started walk away before he grabbed my arms and pulled me towards him and I was shocked to see anger in his eyes.
“Look I said I was sorry no need to get angry, for this I will look for that damn pig you want.” he replied he smelt of smoke and something minty.
I stared up at him and saw solemn brown eyes that looked like they seen too much of history to even retell it, it suddenly turned hard and twinkled with amusement. I felt the heat rise up my throat towards my cheeks I know what he was thinking, and I wasn’t doing myself justice by staring at him still.
“You want more money for the search or something?” I growled and stared at him he was seriously taken back as if he never even imagined that thought process.
“No.” he replied rubbing his left hand over his mouth and rubbing his jaw after that in wonder. “Listen I am the schools janitor let me just look for it ok come back tomorrow and you might find it.” he sighed and I stared at him hope in my eyes did he mean that?
“Do you really mean that?” I replied curious was I stupid enough to believe him again?
“Yes, look if you aren’t sure if I’m a janitor or not, my names Elias if you mention it I’m sure everyone will know who I am.” he barked looking down at me with a dry look, and I felt awkward all over again.
“Fine If you say so” I didn’t want to show him the satisfaction that I was ecstatic at the news so “You can let me go now.” I replied as I watched his big hands letting go of my arms suddenly, the warmth I felt was so cold I was a bit disappointed.
“Look I give you my word, now scatter off I can’t handle girls like you and its too early anyway.” he muttered and started to light up another cigarette and puffed out the smoke. I waved my hand around and glared back at him.
“Don’t worry I am.” I replied back, and shifted my bag and walked away before I was stopped again.
“I didn’t get your name who the hell do I look for if I find the pig.” he looked at me his eyes boring into mine.
