~Chapter 17 – Dinner with a nerd!~
No wonder they were family they looked exactly alike…

If I wasn’t so surprised and stumbled to class, I wouldn’t be in pain as I walked towards it. My mind reeled at the idea of the janitor I mean Jethro’s cousin having a girl in school, and going out with her. It blew me away to another day literally, I just hoped I won’t see him today as I would be too embarrassed to say I saw them kiss. I could always lie but what good would that do.
I needed to know who she was I don’t understand why I needed to know, but I just had to. I felt like there was a secret there between those that I must know. I know I sound stupid and so vain that I must need to know a secret, but seriously when you have a gut feeling you go with it. Technically.
So I ended up in class, with a headache not only from my nose but my brain to. Sometimes I overthink too much no wonder I get stressed this was totally absurd. My vision must be really bad or something I probably didn’t even see the kiss just his shock.
I walked over to my seat and slowly everyone filled in the place, they gave me a once over look about twice or they stared. I know I looked weird and worse of all I didn’t have Anthea next to me, so I wouldn’t look as weird as she did with her hair colours. Life sucked for me right now and it was even bigger when I saw Mason come towards me and sit in Anthea’s place, I glanced at him twice before settling to stare at my notebook.
“Are you even allowed to be next to me?” I whispered he looked over, amused twinkled his features.
“I can choose wherever I need to be and I would rather be here with you.” he replied with a smirk making his indigo eyes twinkle, I noticed for the first time he had a dimple on his right cheek.
I looked back at my easel, and I didn’t bother saying anything the fear of losing someone, who doesn’t make you look as weird is a big step for me. As much as I don’t want to speak to him at all.
“All right class I would like a painting based on what you feel today please, I noted last class was an exciting look after a long summer so please continue.” I heard her brisk laughter as she walked away whistling sometimes art teachers were weird.
So I began painting, I had no idea what I was feeling besides pain so I just drew a face the side of it and coloured it in different reds and purple, while the other half were hidden by the dark blue colour. I didn’t intend it too look like me but I was going for the dark and painful look, maybe Mason was right I was depressed I usually drew flowers or landscapes why in the world was I drawing a face with a bruised look?
“Are you ok?” I heard Mason clear his throat and look at me I stared back surprised.
“Err…yeah why?” I replied shrugging scrunching my face hurt even more.
“You’re painting…” he mumbled and looked towards the half drawn face I did, slashed with purple and reds.
“Ah…I am perfect.” I lied and blushed ten different colours
“I see.” he grimaced I looked at him as he kept on colouring in; it was a different picture of a husky this time was he crazy about them?
“Do you fantasize about dogs or something?” I whispered and he looked taken aback
“Why would you say that?” he frowned and I pointed at the dog and the wall, which had the other dog and then he looked back smiling. “That doesn’t mean I fantasize about them”
“Ok fine, you don’t I’m curious it’s a beautiful picture who is it?” I replied looking back at my work while I added more red.
“My dog that I had to put to sleep” he replied a sad tone in his voice I felt a lump in my throat I know the feeling too well.
