A/N: Some Angst (Touya's emotions)
Touya's eyes watered as he watched both our babies. Both of them smiling at him. He looked so young and free -almost like a part of his old self was still in him. That child-like self with that carefree smile and kind pure heart.
However not everything was done. Most people would think a couple of talks with therapists and psychiatrists would be enough but it was far from that.
The months continued to pass and Touya's program curricular consisted in him facing his past. That meant facing his father via a new therapy session the doctors came up with. Today would be his first session. Considering the results of this session would determine how Touya's treatment would proceed.
For the first time in several months Touya was finally able and willingly wanting to see Enji by himself. From a specialized glass window, the psychiatrist, the therapist, and I were watching and hearing them.
My heart clenched hearing Touya speak from the bottom of his heart. I had my hesitation on being present, but I really needed to see Touya be okay while seeing Enji in person, one on one.
"You think it's that simple huh?" Touya scoffed with crossed arms. "You coming here saying you want to be part of my life and watch me like you should've from the start? Don't make me laugh."
Touya threw his head back with mocking laughter. Enji frowned. Dr. Suo and I exchanged a look; we expected Touya to use his coping mechanism of sarcasm on Enji. We were glad to see his hostility was kept to a minimum. His intentions to hurt his dad were none, thankfully.
"I know nothing I say can ever fix the past. I've hurt you too much as well as the others but, I failed even more to see that you needed me." Enji replied with a serious but soft tone.
I watched the situation carefully; I knew this was a critique moment for Touya. Dr. Suo and Dr. Shidou jotted down information and carefully observed Touya's behavior as well as monitoring his heartbeat.
"Why... why did you refuse to acknowledge me? Why did it take me almost killing Shoto, hurting Y/N, trying to kill you... for you to see me?" Touya's voice sounded strain. His heartbeat accelerated.
"If we see his heartbeat raising anymore, we'll have to administer a sedative." Dr. Shidou mentioned. "We can't risk his health, it's been less than a year since he was operated on."
I kept quiet as I continued to observe. This was probably not a good idea -me assisting in this new therapy session.
Touya tapped his foot impatiently as he heard Enji's reply. "I was unsure. I didn't know how to deal with the situation. I was blinded with that absurd ambition of- I know that's no excuse but it's what happened and I know it was wrong."
"You hurt me." Touya spoke upset, "A lot. You have no idea what I had to go through. I woke up from a three year coma and spent the rest of my years alone."
"Why didn't you come home? What happened?"
"For what reason? Were you going to give me a warm welcome? Hah. I doubt it." Touya scoffed angrily, "You would've kept me in some hospital or isolated from the family, you would've still ignored me because all you cared about was producing the perfect hero to suffice your ambitions."
"I-"
"But for your information, I did come back and I saw nothing changed. So I decided to become powerful on my own. To show you how strong I am."
"But Touya... You killed, why?" Enji looked pertubed.
"You're seriously asking me that?" Touya deadpanned, he let out a sigh afterwards, "It was the only way for me to survive. The only way to prove myself to the League in order to get the upper hand to be a rival to you and Shoto. But then... I realized how much I loved Y/N." his tone became softer as he shyly smiled, "She flipped my whole world around."
