To the Rescue

Wyatt finally came in, Everyone sat down outside with freshly cooked omelets.

"So when did you guys meet?" Mom asked Wyatt as she sipped her wine.

"The um," I tried to make something up, Poor Wyatt didn't ask for this.

"We met at the Senior Bonfire!" Wyatt added as he bit into his omelet. "Your home is so beautiful Ms. Brown!" He added.

"Well thank you! Cant believe Zoya's been hiding such a gentlemen." My mom smiled, a smile i haven't seen in a while. 

"Oh, When did you guys make it official?" Rafe asked in a cocky tone. My face went still, why did he care.

"October, Halloween." He added, like lying was a fun game to him.

"Yeah, My favorite holiday." I smiled and held onto Wyatts hand.

"Oh did you both skip out on toppers party then? Didn't see you guys.. Coupled up!" Rafe commented trying to get under his skin.

"For a moment actually, I had to leave for family reasons." Wyatt defended himself, starting to get annoyed at Rafe's questions. 

"I Didn't see you guys together either.." John B said while looking at me, his face was indescribable. Jealous wasn't a strong enough word.

"Well since everyones so interested in our lore, We are attending Princeton together in the fall." I added then quickly sipping my drink.

"You got into Princeton?" Everyone said, but wyatt.

"Surprise!" I awkwardly added as shook my arms 

"Your father would be proud, Thats where i met your father." Ward said as he gave me a side hug.

"Wow, um." Mom cleared her throat. " I didn't know you applied, or even was thinking about going there." She seemed upset, she didn't realize how much she missed.

"I applied in June mom, Got early acceptance in september." 

"Wow, i didn't know that zoy.." John B added as he looked down at his plate.

"Keeping everyone out of the loop is crazy." Rafe added.

Rafe was an absolute asshole, you take my virginity then ghost me and think you have any right to know about my life?

"You were never in the loop Rafe, why would i tell you anything." I said with my short temper.

"Whatever Zoya, But you know i go to Princeton too?" He mentioned. 

"Well isn't that awesome." I said sarcastically.

"Zoya, What the hell is your problem." Sarah Added.

"You know what, Wyatt and i have things to do today. It was nice seeing you Mr and mrs cameron but i have to go." Quickly i stood up and slammed my chair in. Wyatt following behind me. 

"Thank you again Ms. Brown! " Wyatt added politely.

"Of course." Mom added. She knew something wasn't right, and for once. She was on my side.

"Well that was a shit show" I told Wyatt as he closed the door to my bedroom.

"Those guys seemed very, Jealous." He laughed as he sat on my bed.

"Guys from my past, i don't really want to get into it." I asked. He nodded.

I met Wyatt In June,

We found each other in the guidance office, talking about colleges as we waited for our guidance appointment. We planned to drive up to Princeton, and we did in july. As September rolled around we texted here and there until my bad habit kicked in. He sold and i bought. Thats what it all was. Until we hooked up, Wyatt really is an amazing guy. He just wasn't looking for anything serious, so he just stayed as my dealer.
