The venue for Kartik's birthday party was nothing short of spectacular. Twinkling fairy lights adorned the garden, and the air was filled with the sweet fragrance of roses, Kartik's favorite flower. Guests were mingling, laughter and conversation blending with the soft background music. The atmosphere was festive and vibrant.
Ananya arrived at the venue with her family. As she stepped out of the car, she felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness. It had been a long time since she had attended such a grand event. She adjusted her black off-shoulder dress, feeling a little self-conscious but determined to enjoy the evening.
Kartik, meanwhile, was greeting guests and ensuring that everything was running smoothly. His mind occasionally drifted back to the girl from the previous night, the one whose anklet was now safely tucked away in his drawer. He couldn't help but wonder if he would ever see her again.
As Kartik saw Ahaan they waved each other Ahaan stepped out of the car with his family as they began to walk towards Kartik , Ananya said "Ohh! I forgot my phone in the car" Ahaan replied "get it fast, we're waiting for you on the entrance" Ananya pick her phone from the car and went towards the entrance she saw Ahaan talking to a tall, handsome man who seemed familiar. Ahaan turned and, seeing his sister, waved her over.
"Ananya, come here!" Ahaan called out.
Ananya made her way to Ahaan, her heart racing. As she approached, she realized that the man Ahaan was talking to was Kartik, the same man who had rescued her the previous night. Kartik's eyes widened in surprise as he recognized her.
"Ahaan, this is my sister, Ananya," Ahaan introduced, beaming with pride.
Kartik extended his hand, his gaze locking with Ananya's. "Kartik Aaryan. It's a pleasure to meet you, Ananya."
Ananya shook his hand, her mind racing. "Likewise, Kartik. Thank you for your help last night. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't shown up."
Kartik smiled warmly. "You don't have to thank me."
Ahaan looked between them, sensing a connection but unsure of what had transpired. "How do you two know each other?"
Ananya and Kartik exchanged a quick glance before Ananya replied, "Kartik helped me out of a difficult situation last night. It's a long story."
Ahaan nodded, still curious but willing to let it slide for now. "Well, Kartik, happy birthday! Ananya, we should introduce you to everyone else."
Kartik smiled. "Thank you, Ahaan. I'll catch up with you both later. Enjoy the party."
As Ananya and Ahaan moved through the crowd, meeting friends and family, Ananya couldn't shake the feeling of Kartik's gaze following her. She felt a strange mix of comfort and excitement, knowing he was nearby.
Later in the evening, Ananya found herself alone by the refreshment table, taking a moment to breathe. Kartik approached her, holding a glass of water.
"Thirsty?" he asked, offering her the glass.
She smiled, accepting it. "Thank you."
They stood in comfortable silence for a moment, the party bustling around them. Finally, Kartik spoke. "I never got to ask your name last night. I'm glad we met again."
Ananya laughed softly. "I was thinking the same thing. It's strange how fate works."
Kartik nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Indeed. Sometimes, things happen for a reason."
