As expected, the video blew up. The particular show was trending everywhere and in every platform, the hastag #Seventeen #Lavelle were trending with #Mingyu&Jaerim was taking over the internet for 24 hours straight with the particular clip of the interaction being recorded and turned into various edits.
The challenge that Jaerim did with Mingyu was uploaded by the staffs of Pledis which was more like striking while the iron is hot and it did strike hard. CARATS and LOVIES were going nuts as they started checking back videos from few years back to find some interaction between the two members and making edits here and there.
Those who were Mingyu and Jaerim stan, they won and some shed crocodile tears because they were jealous while some made a joke out of it while some hated both the idols saying they were acting or trying to get some clout but nobody cares right now because all the kpop stans cared was ─── the damn interaction they never knew they would need.
Everyone in the industry knew LYN's friendship with SVT's Seungkwan but not Jaerim because she rarely interacted with them so it was like a bomb, just dropped and made the platform chaotic.
The girls were sitting at the waiting room waiting for the other idols to finish performing and they were engaged in their phone. YUE and JINSEO saw the trend and could only laugh at the funny comments left under the post while they tease Jaerim about it but made sure not to slip anything out because there were some staffs around and no one could be trusted.
Jaerim on the other hand was looking at her DMs which was filled with messages from both Carats and Lovies asking her their relationship while some leaving good message and some bad comments. She didn't bother checking it because it will give her more stress, so she closed it and went to her gallery and found the pictures she took the day they went for stargazing.
There were other several pictures sent to her by Mingyu which he took from his camera which looked so good. She thought for a while and decided to post it on her Instagram for a proper clean feed. She arranged the pictures properly and posted with emojis “🐶✨❤️” which she hinted towards Mingyu but the fans would be definitely thinking that it was just an emoji she used.
She posted to it with a simple songs that fit her aesthetic and soon they were called on stage for the final ceremony where they were going up against a group. Today, it was their final promotion for the song and wouldn't promote more as they would start to prepare for their winter comeback soon.
The girls all stood among the idols waiting to go on stage. Majority of the idols there were all juniors so when LAVELLE entered, they immediately showed respect which the girls returned the same respect to them and talked with some juniors.
Soon, SEVENTEEN members came up to the backstage with few cameras following them. The girls immediately gave them some space as they passed by. Seungkwan was the 3rd person to pass by them and immediately greeted LYN and JINSEO with a small handshake as he makes his way towards their assigned areas.
Jaerim's eyes were busy elsewhere, trying to find a certain someone and her gaze fell upon the guy at the last whose eyes were already on her. She immediately blushed when their eyes met contact but she didn't look away and instead smiled and gave a small nod which he replied with a big smile.
Today was also the last day for their promotion too which Mingyu informed her. Since there were cameras around, Mingyu could only greet her and the rest of the members before joining his members.
Soon all the idols were up on stage and luckily, LAVELLE won the show so the members addressed their appreciation towards their fans and started with their encore while the idols who were behind started leaving the stage one after another.
Seventeen were standing together with a bouquet as they were asked to give to the winners by the staffs earlier. Seeing that LAVELLE won, the members immediately knew why they were chosen to give the bouquet.
They knew about the recent stuff that was happening on the internet but weren't sure if they should really give it but in the end they decided Seungkwan to hand it over to LYN since they were close friends and no one would really suspect.
Jaerim turned around and bowed to several idols as she sang her line from time to time. She bowed to the SVT members who greeted them and cheered for them as Seungkwan handed the bouquet to LYN "Jaerim-noona, congratulations on your win!"
Jaerim could barely hear what he said because of the music and the fan's cheer along with the confetti that was popping randomly but she made out what he said and replied with a bow
"Thank you so much Seungkwan-ah"
"Congratulations Jaerim-ah"
Jaerim smiled at Mingyu and smiled "Thank you"
"See you later, my love"
Jun who was standing beside Mingyu witnessed the interaction and the way his teammate just threw a simple sentence but with a flirty tone made him look at his friend and gave a small punch on his arms "Mingyu-ah, you are really not afraid of the camera's"
He saw how Jaerim looked at him with an embarrassed expression and couldn't help but tease Mingyu at the green-room and would definitely share this with the rest of the crew because he doesn't want to be the only one to know the small flirty side of Mingyu.
And fans who saw the interaction were on the verge of crying. They were getting served with moments after moments that they didn't even get time to digest the interaction from earlier shows.
