"Goodnight girls"
Jaerim made her way inside her apartment after a team dinner. She didn't waste any minute and immediately went to take shower. She had a team dinner with the members and the staffs to conclude the final promotion of QUEENCARD as a compliment for the hardwork everyone went through for few weeks.
After doing her skin-care, she immediately got on her bed. She didn't even have the chance to look at her phone and immediately fell asleep though it was only 8:51pm, she was already sleepy from all the exhaustion and the huge feast she devoured earlier at the BBQ shop
It was almost 2am but Jaerim woke up feeling thirsty. She didn't want to wake up but if she didn't drink, it will be a whole night of torture so she lazily woke up and head towards the kitchen and quickly drank a glass of water and made her way to her bed.
But, she didn't feel sleepy anymore. She checked the clock and saw it was almost morning but she couldn't sleep anymore, she got enough sleep so she took her phone and entered her kakao talk and checked up on unread messages.
She sent a message on the group chat to see if any of the night-owl members were active but none replied which means they all went to bed. She then saw the latest unread messages from Mingyu which was a congratulatory message.
Jaerim opened the chat and replied thank you with a smiley face but she didn't expect to receive a message immediately.
"You're still up at this hour?"
She chuckled and texted back that she woke up after sleeping and couldn't go to sleep anymore and was bored to do anything.
“Shall I facetime you?”
Jaerim didn't really mind because it's not the first time they were gonna facetime each other but she was bare face right now. Before she could reply another message came in
“ Even if you're without make-up, I don't mind. You look pretty both ways ”
It would be a lie if Jaerim said that she didn't get butterflies. She slightly brush her hair and turn on the table lamp and make sure there weren't eye boogers before accepting the call.
She was immediately greeted by Mingyu who looked like he was on his bed and hugging a soft puppy plushie. "Do you have any schedules later?"
"Nope, I have free days for 3 days"
"Hmm.. that's good"
Something about bare-faced Kim Mingyu always hits Jaerim. He was handsome with his stage make-up but him without make-up and his natural skin tone makes his goofy looks pop more. His slightly disheveled bed-hair was somehow making him look more hot ─── respectfully !
"Did you eat your dinner?"
"I ate with Wonwoo-hyung and Dokyeom earlier but I am still hungry"
Jaerim ate a lot during the dinner earlier but she could feel her stomach getting empty and wanting to eat something. "I ate a lot during dinner but I think I am a little hungry now"
Mingyu's laugh echoed through the phone and the bedroom's wall echoed his voice which made Jaerim feel like Mingyu was in the room with her right now. His soft smile that was illuminating through the screen was warming her heart up and something kicks in her which made her feel that she was somehow missing his presence.
It's almost been a month since they went for stargazing and often met at music shows but never together. They facetime and texted each other almost everyday but something still feels empty and Jaerim disliked the feeling of the emptiness she was having right now.
"Wanna come over and cook something together?"
They were only 40 minutes away from each other as their dorms were close to each other but they rarely met each other due to their schedules. Jaerim didn't understand how her intrusive thoughts won over and blurted out those words but Mingyu smiled and nodded his head.
"Alright then, send me your address. I'll get there in few minutes"
"Sure"
Jaerim ended the call and as soon as the line went "beep" she immediately threw the phone at the corner of her bed and grabbed her hair with a look of disbelief
"Seo Jaerim, you've gone crazy! You really invited a guy in your apartment in the middle of the night!?"
She hid her face on the pillow and let out a muffled scream in order to not disturb the neighbors, she kicked the air and slapped herself twice while looking at the phone.
"Seo Jaerim, you fucking idiot. Your intrusive thoughts will be the end of you"
But since she has invited him over, she could only drag herself to the bathroom and clean up her face a little and walk to her kitchen and prepare some veggies or meat that was in the refrigerator. She checked the cleanliness of the house and it was clean, she always keeps her own apartment clean and tidy which makes her feel better with few plants here and there for decoration and also adding to the aesthetic of the room.
Jaerim found some meat and lots of veggies which she brought from the supermarket two days ago and some marinated crabs that were given by JINSEO's mom who dropped by yesterday. She tried to calm herself down by preparing some side dishes but deep down, she was nervous as hell and couldn't stop the heartbeat that was going crazy.
Seo Jaerim, Seo Jaerim, you are so stupid in love.
