It was another day in the world where heaven and hell intertwined. Naraina, an angelic figure, sat in a quaint café, sipping her grande decaf strawberries-and-cream frappuccino, triple shot. She was a vision of elegance with her curly light blue hair, subtle makeup enhancing her clear skin, and an ethereal outfit—a short blue dress paired with white fishnet stockings, perfectly matching shoes, and her soft, glowing wings. Her halo shimmered faintly above her head as she hummed to herself, scrolling through her phone, her legs swaying with a quiet, content joy.
What Naraina didn't expect was to be interrupted by a demon.
"Hey, gorgeous. Mind if I sit here?" a deep, seductive voice cut through the air. She looked up, eyes widening in surprise as she took in the sight before her.
The demon stood tall at 5'10", his skin a striking shade of red. His stylish black hair framed his face, with black shades hiding his eyes, and his look was completed with a black coat, fitted jeans, a necklace, and horns adorned with chains. A long tail curled behind him, and when he spoke, a glimpse of his pierced tongue sent a shiver down her spine.
"O-oh, um... I... okay," Naraina stammered, her usual confidence slipping. She was always a shy soul—though not as innocent as she appeared. It was forbidden for angels and demons to mingle, let alone interact, but Naraina had always been drawn to the dark allure of demons. There was something about them, something dangerous, that she found irresistible.
The demon smirked as he sat down across from her, his gaze locking with hers, holding an intensity that made her pulse quicken. Naraina could feel the weight of his presence, and despite the rules, the thrill of it all only intrigued her more.
"You alone here?" the demon asked, leaning forward, resting one elbow on the table as he gave Naraina his full, undivided attention. His presence was overwhelming, and she felt it in every fiber of her being.
"Y-yeah," she whispered, her voice barely audible, feeling suddenly small under his gaze.
"Oh, how rude of me," he said with a smirk. "I'm Damian, Damian Romero." His introduction came with a teasing grin. "But you can call me daddy," he added, letting out a playful chuckle.
Naraina's cheeks flushed a deep red at the dirty joke, her mind racing as she struggled to process how to react. She swallowed hard, her voice soft but curious. "A-are you... an Incubus?"
Damian's smirk widened, clearly enjoying her flustered state. "So cute," he said, his tail swaying behind him in excitement. "But yes, lovely, I am. And you didn't tell me your name."
"Oh! Um... I'm Naraina," she stammered, nervously tucking a strand of her blue hair behind her ear. Damian chuckled again—he had a clear weakness for shy women, and Naraina was no exception.
"Beautiful name for a beautiful lady," he winked, his smooth words making her blush deepen. Her heart fluttered as she bit her lip, trying to hide her smile. She took a slow sip of her drink, never breaking eye contact, as a subtle but undeniable tension began to build between them.
"So... what brings you to the angels' realm?" Naraina asked cautiously, watching Damian as he admired himself in a pocket mirror. His gaze shifted to her with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Oh, I come here often," he said with a chuckle, snapping the mirror shut. "It's fun to tease angels." He gave her a knowing smile before adding, "Especially you, sweetheart. You're one in a million." His voice was a purr, and Naraina couldn't help but give a faint, bashful smile in return.
"I'm surprised you're not... afraid of me. Or disgusted," Damian teased, raising an eyebrow and flashing his confident smile.
Naraina shrugged slightly, trying to hide the truth in her words. "I don't mind demons. I know I shouldn't, but... yeah." It felt strange to admit, but something about Damian made her want to be honest, despite her natural shyness.
