The morning sun filtered the classroom windows, casting a warm glow on the eager faces of the students gathered for an imporant announcements.
It was 9AM, and the air buzzed with anticipation as Ms. Faye Malisorn, their beloved teacher, stood at the front of the room, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Goodmorning, everyone!" Faye began, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "As you all know, christmas is just around the corner, and this year, we have something special planned. The school is organizing a Christmas presentation, and I'm thrilled to tell you that our class will be a big part of it."
The students exchanged excited whispers, their curiosity piqued. Yoko, sitting in the side of the classroom, felt her heart race with excitement. Christmas had always been her favorite time of the year, and the idea of being involved in a special presentation filled her with joy.
Faye continued, "Our level coordinator will be assigning different roles to students. Some of you will play characters in the presentation, some will handle the props, and others will be part of the dance troupe. It's going to be a lot of fun, and a great opportunity to showcase your talents."
As if on cue, the level coordinator, Mr. Thompson, entered the classroom with a laptop in hand. He greeted the students warmly before getting down to business.
He started calling out names, assigning roles for the play and the dances when he got to the props team, Yoko held her breath, hoping to be with her friends.
"Yoko Aspara, Angel, Isabell, and a few others will be on the props team," Mr. Thompson announced. The three friends exchanged happy smiles, thrilled to be working together.
Mr. Thompson continued, "And to help guide you, Ms. Faye and Ms. Victoria will be overseeing the props team. They'll be there to assist and support you every step of the way."
Yoko's heart leaped with joy. Not only would she be with her friends, but she would also get to spend more time with Ms. Faye. The thought made her cheeks warm, and she quickly glanced at Faye, who gave her an encouraging smile.
"Starting next Monday," Mr. Thompson said, "We'll begin working on the props and practicing the dance and dialouge for the play. It's going to be a busy but rewarding time, so be ready to give it your best effort."
The students erupted in cheers, their excitement palpable. As the bell rang for the next period, they began discussing their plans and ideas for the presentation.
Yoko, Angel, and Isabell huddled together, brainstorm kung and sharing their enthusiasm.
"This is going to be amazing," Angel said, her eyes shining. "We get to work on the props and be a part of something so special."
"And with Ms. Faye and Ms. Victoria helping us, it's going to be perfect," Isabell added.
Yoko nodded, feeling a sense of contentment. She couldn't wait for Monday to come, to start creating something beautiful with her friends and the teacher she admired so deeply.
As the students filed out of the classroomc ready for the rest of their day, Faye watched them with a smile. Her gaze lingered on Yoko, who was chatting animatedly with her friends. There was a warmth in her chest, a mixture of pride and something deeper, something she couldn't quite put into words.
——
Saturday and Sunday passed slowly for Yoko, without school to distract her, she found herself missing Ms. Faye more than ever. The weekends had never felt so long, and she yearned for Monday to come, to see the person who had become her motivation and inspiration.
When Monday finally arrived, Yoko felt a surge of excitement. She packed her bag with cardboards, colored papers, and other materials for the props they were going to create for the Christmas presentation.
In the designated props room, the atmosphere was lively. Students chatted and laughed as they worked together, their creative energy flowing freely.
Yoko and her friends were busy cutting, gluing, and assembling the props. Yoko was particularly focused on creating a crown for one of the play's characters. She concentrated hard, her tongue peeking out slightly as she carefully placed glitter on the cardboard.
Faye sat at her desk, watching the students with a fond smile. Her eyes often drifted to Yoko, who was engrossed in her task.
Faye couldn't help but admire Yoko's dedication and the adorable way she furrowed her brow in concentration.
But Faye's smile faded when Ms. Victoria entered the room and took a seat beside Yoko, offering to help with the crown.
A pang of jealousy hit Faye as she watched them work together. Ms. Victoria's laughter and the way she leaned close to Yoko made Faye's heart ache. Unable to bear the sight, she stood up and walked out of the classroom.
Yoko noticed the change. She had felt Faye's gaze on her earlier, a warm, comforting presence that made her feel special. But when she saw Faye's smile disappear and witnessed her leave the room, a knot formed in her stomach. She sensed that Faye was jealous, perhaps feeling left out.
As the day progressed, the students made significant progress on the props. The classroom buzzed with excitement as the various pieces started to come together.
Yet, amid the creativity and camaraderie, Yoko's mind kept drifting to Faye.
when the bell rang for lunch, Yoko decided it was tike to find Faye. She excused herseld from her friends and
made her way to Faye's classroom. She found her sitting at her desk, staring out the window with a distant look in her eyes."Ms. Faye?" Yoko called softly as she entered the room. Faye turned to look at her, a mixture of surprise and apprehension on her face. "Yoko, is everything okay?"
Yoko nodded and closed the door behind her. "I wanted to talk to you, I noticed you left the room earlier. Is something wrong?"
Faye hesitated, her eyes flickering with uncertainty. She didn't want to burden Yoko with her feelings, but the concern in Yoko's eyes was genuine. Taking a deep breath, she decided to be honest.
"I saw you and Ms. Victoria working together, and I felt... I guess I felt a little jealous," Faye admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's silly I know. But I couldn't help
It."Yoko's heart ached for Faye's confession. She moved closer and took Faye's hand, squeezing it gently. "It's not silly. I understand. But you have nothing to worry about. I'm here because I want to be with you. Ms. Victoria was just helping me with the props. She doesn't mean anything more to me."
Faye looked into Yoko's eyes and saw the sincerity in them. The tension in her shoulders eased, and she smiled softly. "Thank you, Yoko. I'm sorry for letting get the better of me."
Yoko shook her head. "You don't have to apologize. I care about you, Ms. Faye. I always will."
The room seemed to warm with their unspoken feelings. In that moment, their bond felt stronger than ever. Faye realized that, despite her fears, Yoko's affection for her was unwavering. And Yoko knew that, no matter what, she would always find a way to make Faye smile.
