Yuki asked Ms. Grace on their call how much money she would need to spy on Yoko and her girlfriend. Ms. Grace replied, "I want 500$." Yuki countered, "That's too much,"
But Ms. Grace insisted, "It's up to you. Without me, you won't know your stepsister's secrets."
After thinking for a moment, Yuki agreed, saying she would hand over the $500 on Saturday. Ms. Grace assured her that she would start spying on Sunday.
As days passed, life went on as usual. On Friday, as school ended, Yoko waited in the lobby for her driver. She saw her friends leaving, waved them goodbye; and texted her driver, asking where he was.
He responded that he was delayed, as he had to pick up her father first, and would be 15 minutes late. Deciding to pass the time, Yoko went upstairs to Ms. Faye's classroom.
Yoko knocked on the door. Ms. Faye looked up to the window, saw her, and invited her in. Yoko entered, closed the door, smiled, and hugged Faye tightly.
However, Faye quickly broke the hug, cautioning Yoko, "We need to be careful. Ms. Grace might see us."
Yoko pouted. "I miss you so much." Faye smiled, "I miss you too, but we must be cautions." Yoko sighed, "I'm tired of hiding our relationship. But I'll never be tired of loving you."
Faye squeezed Yoko's hands gently, "One day, someone will accept us for who we are and what we are."
Just then, Yoko's phone rang. Her driver had arrived. She picked up her bag, telling Faye, "I have to go. My driver is here." Faye stood up as well, "I'll walk you downstairs."
They reached the lobby, and Yoko said goodbye. Suddenly, Faye held Yoko's hand. "How about a date on Sunday?" Yoko's face lit up, "I'd love that!" She bid Faye goodbye and headed to her car; where her father was waiting.
Yoko greeted her father and he returned the greeting, asking about her day. "It was nice," Yoko replied. She added that had planned a group date with her friends on Sunday.
Her father, after a brief pause, approved and mused about how often she was going out with her friends lately. Yoko smiled, "We just wwnt to enjoy our time together."
On Saturday, Yuki woke up early, showered, and dressed casually. She headed downstairs to see Yoko and her family having breakfast.
Her mother, Yadira, invited Yuki to join them, but Yuki declined, saying she had something important to do, and left.
At 10 AM, Yuki arrived at the cafè where she was to meet Ms. Grace. She saw Ms. Grace seated near the entrance. Yuki opened the entrance door and walked in, handed her the $500 without sitting down, and said, "I hope this money isn't wasted."
Ms. Grace assured her, "Your money will not be wasted."
Returning home, Yuki found her family watching television. "Where did you go?" Her father asked where she had been. "I went to my friend's house." She casually replied that she met her best friend and went upstairs.
On Sunday, Yoko woke up early to prepare for her date with Ms. Faye. She opened the door of her bathroom and started to have a shower.
After showering, she put on a red sleeveless dress and applied some make up on her face. After that, she went downstairs and saw her father sitting at the living room. She informed her father she would be out until night and then told the driver to head to Faye's house.
At Faye's house, Yoko rang the doorbell. Faye, dressed in an oversized polo and black shorts, answered and invited Yoko in.
As they went inside the house, they went upstairs quietly in Faye's bedroom, as Faye's family didn't know about their relationship.
In Faye's room, Yoko immediately hugged her, "I missed you." Faye smiled, "I missed you too. Where do you want to go?" Yoko suggested, "Let's go to Summer Fling beach. I miss the lanterns."
Faye agreed, "Oh, good idea. I miss the lanterns there too, oh and the fireworks." She grabbed her bag and car keys, and they drove to the beach.
After a few house, they arrived at Summer Fling. Faye checked them into a room suitable for two. After 10 minutes the woman at the counter of the hotel gaved them the keys for their room.
Inside the room, "What if we stay here overnight? I want to spend more time with you." Yoko suggested staying overnight. Faye reminded her they had school the the next day. "Hmm, we can't. We still have classes tomorrow."
Yoko pouted, "We can skip just one day." Faye shook her head, "We can't miss monday."
Despite her initial disappointment, Yoko agreed, "Fine, but let's make the most of the day." Faye smiled and said, "Okay, Boss." And made a salute. 🫡
They spent the day enjoying the beach, strolling hand in hand along the shore, and setting up a small picknic near the water.
As the sun began to set, Yoko and Faye sat on the sand, watching the sky turn shades or orange and pink.
Yoko leaned her head in Faye's shoulder, "This is perfect," Faye smiled, "It is. I'm glad we did this."
As night fell, they lit lanterns and released them into the sky, watching them float away. Yoko turned to Faye, "Thank you for today. It means a lot to me."
Faye looked into Yoko's eyes, "Anything for you, Yoko."
Reluctantly, they left the beach and drove back to the city. Faye dropped Yoko off at home, and they shared a quick kiss before parting ways.
Yoko walked inside, feeling a mix of happiness and sadness.
The next morning, Yoko went to school, wondering how long they could keep their relationship a secret. Meanwhile, Ms. Grace started her spying mission, blending in and observing Yoko and Faye's interactions discreetly.
