The sounds of the Mr. and Ms. Stonebridge pageant buzzed faintly in the backround as Faye and Yoko sat together in the quiet backstage area. The dim lighting created a serene atmosphere, and Yoko felt her anxiety slowly dissipating.

"Do you want to walk?" Faye asked, her voice gentle and caring.

Yoko nodded, appreciating the suggestion. They stood up and began to stroll through the quiet corridors of the school. The rhythmic echo of their footsteps on the polished floors created a soothing cadence.

As they walked, Yoko felt a sudden curiosity bubble up inside her. "Ms. Faye," She began hesitantly, "Can I ask you something personal?"

"Of course," Faye replied, turning to look at her with an encouraging smile.

"Can you tell me about your ex-girlfriend?" Yoko asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Faye paused for a moment, then reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. She tapped the screen a few times before handing it to Yoko. "Here, you can read out last conversation." She said softly.

Yoko took the phone with trembling hands and began to read the chat history between Faye and her ex-girlfriend, Joy. The messages were filled with affection and warmth, revealing a deep and loving relationship. As Yoko read, she couldn't help but think how lucky Joy must have been to be loved by someone as wonderful as Faye.

"She must be very lucky," Yoko murmured, handing the phone back to Faye.

Faye smiled wistfully, "We had our good times, but it didn't work out in the end. Sometimes, things just don't go the way you hope."

They continued to walk, sharing stories and laughing softly. Faye's presence was comforting, and Yoko felt a growing bond between them. Suddenly, Faye turned to Yoko with a curious look. "You love reading and writing, right?" She asked.

Yoko nodded, "Yes, I do. It's my escape from reality."

"Do you read girl love stories?" Faye inquired, a playful glint in her eye.

Yoko blushed slightly, "Yes, I do. I have a few favorites that I could recommend."

Fayems eyes sparkled with interest. "I'd love to hear them. And I have a recommendation for you, too. You should watch 'Yes or No,' a Thai movie. It's one of my favorites."

As they continued their walk, Yoko invited Faye to sit down again at a set of chairs in the backstage area. They settled into the chairs, and Yoko took out her phone. She was about to show Faye on of her favorite stories when Faye playfully took the phone from her hands.

"Let's take some videos and photos," Faye suggested, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

Yoko couldn't help but smile. She nodded enthusiastically as Faye opened the camera app and began to snap pictures. They took a few silly selfies, laughing at their exaggerated expressions. Faye then switched to video mode and recorded some short clip of them making funny faces and joking around.

"These are moments to remember."

After capturing of joyful and silly moments on Yoko's phone, the dreaded low battery warning flashed on the screen. Yoko sighed, looking at Faye apologetically.

"My phone's about to die. I need to go to the lobby to charge it; that's the only place with a socket." Yoko explained.

Faye's expression darkened slightly. "I don't want you to go to the lobby. Stay here with me."

Yoko smiled gently. "I need to charge my phone, Ms. Faye. My driver might try to contact me."

Faye's grip on Yoko's hand tightened. "So, you're leaving me?"

The desperation in Faye's voice tugged at Yoko's heart. She understood Faye's loneliness but knew she had to charge her phone. "I'll be back soon," Yoko promised, gently removing Faye's hand from her own.

Faye watched Yoko walk away, her heart sinking. Alone again, she returned to her seat, trying to focus on the pageant but feeling an ache of sadness.

Meanwhile, Yoko reached the lobby and plugged her phone into the socket. She stood there, watching the battery percentage slowly climb. Suddenly, the lights flickered and went out, plunging the lobby into darkness. Panic gripped Yoko; she was terrified of the dark and being alone.

She fumbled for her phone, trying to use the flashlight, but it was no use, it was completely dead. Her heart founded in her chest as she waited anxiously in the darkness.

Just as she began to feel overwhelmed, a soft light pierced the darkness beside her. Yoko turned and saw Ms. Victoria's hand. They sat together in a nearby bench the light from the phone illuminating their faces.

"Thank you, Ms. Victoria," Yoko said, her voice trembling slightly

Ms. Victoria squeezed her hand. "You're welcome, Yoko. I won't leave you alone."

After a few minutes, the power came back on, and the lobby lights flickered to life. Yoko felt a wave of relief as her surroundings became visible again. They returned to the covered gym, where the pageant continued without interruption.

Faye, still seated with other teachers, glanced over and saw Yoko with Ms. Victoria. A pang of jealousy and regret hit her, knowing she had pushed Yoko away, but seeing Yoko smile reassured her that at least Yoko was safe and happy.

Yoko's heart was lighter as she returned to her seat. Despite the scare, she felt a renewed sense of gratitude for the people around her. As the pageant went on, she found her eyes drifting back to Faye, who was watching the stage with a composed expression.

For a moment, their eyes met across the covered gym. Yoko smiled, but Faye just looked away. Yoko felt that Faye might be sad because she left her or she might be jealous because she's with Ms. Victoria.
