The next day, Faye and Yoko woke up early in their respective homes. As soon as Yoko opened her eyes, she reached for her phone on the bedside table and texted Faye, "goodmorning, I'm awake."

Faye, already up and about, replied quickly. "Morning, love. I'm going to eat breakfast. Don't forget to eat yours too!"

Both girls stood up, washed their faces, and fixed their beds. Yoko headed downstairs to join her family for breakfast, trying to keep the excitement of the new day hidden behind a mask of normalcy.

She ate quickly, eager to return to her room and start the day. After breakfast, she went back to her bedroom, picked up her phone again, and called Faye via video chat.

Faye answered almost immediately, her face lighting up the screen with a smile. "Goodmorning, again," Faye said, setting her phone on her working table so she could still be in view while she worked.

"Morning," Yoko replied, doing the same with her phone on her study table. "What are you up to?"

"Just computing grades," Faye responded. "You?"

"Schoolwork," Yoko answered, smiling at the mundane yet comforting routine they had established. They worked in silence for a while, the occasional glance up at each other providing reassurance and company.

Faye glanced up at one point and smiled, noticing how Yoko was on her tasks. She felt a swell of pride knowing their relationship wasn't distracting Yoko from her academic pursuits.

"Yoko," Faye said, breaking the silence. "Have you thought about what you want to study in college?"

Yoko looked up, her eyes sparkling. "I'm thinking about going into medicine. That way, I can take care of you when you're older."

Faye laughed softly, touched by the thought. "I can picture that, Dr. Aspara, taking care of me in my old age. I like the sound of that."

They continued talking about their futures, sharing dreams and plans while simultaneously working on their current responsibilities.

The video call continued, their presence in each other's lives feeling seamless and natural.

The next day, Monday arrived. Yoko arrived at school early; the routine of the school week bringing a sense of normalcy back.

As the bell rang, signaling the start of the school day, students began forming lines in the gymnasium for the morning assembly. Yoko, being responsible for organizing her class's line, moved about efficiently, making sure everyone was in order.

From the back of the line, Faye watched with a fond smile. She caught Yoko's eyes winked, a small gesture that made Yoko's heart flutter.

Yoko's friends, noticed the exchange and giggled, happy for their friend.

After the flag ceremony, students returned to their classrooms. Faye went to her teaching duties for the day, instructing physical education to the upperclassmen.

Meanwhile, Yoko attended her classes, focusing on her STEM curriculum. The day proceeded as usual, filled with lessons, assignments, and the usual hustle of school life.

As the final bell rang at 3PM, signaling dismissal, students began streaming out of their classrooms, heading towards the exits to wait for their rides home.

Yoko, sitting at the lobby, received a text from her driver, informing her of a delay due to a flat tire and engine troubles.

With time to spare, she decided to head up to Faye's classroom.

Arriving at Faye's door, Yoko knocked lightly. "Come in," Faye's voice called from inside.

Yoko entered, smiling as she saw Faye alone in the room. Unable to contain herself, she quickly walked over and hugged Faye tightly.

Faye chuckled and gently pulling away. "We have to be careful, Yoko. Someone might see us."

Yoko pouted, looking slightly upset. "I just miss you, and I'm so drained from the day."

Fayems expression softened. "I miss you too," she said. "How about we have dinner at my place tonight? My family is staying at my grandmother's house, so we'll have the place to ourselves. I can cook for you."

Yoko's face brightened at the suggestion. "I'd love that!" She exclaimed.

Faye smiled, her heart warming at Yoko's excitement. "Greate, let's get going then."

Yoko quickly contacted her driver, informing him that he didn't need to pick her up, and the messaged her father, saying she would be having dinner with a friend at a restaurant.

Her father, trusting her, agreed without hesitation.

At 5PM, the school began to empty as teachers and students alike headed home. Faye and Yoko walked to the parking lot together, keeping a respectful distance to avoid any suspicion.

Once they reached Faye's car, they both got in, and Faye drove them to her house.

The drive was filled with light conversation, both girls enjoying the rare opportunity to spend time together outside of school.

When they arrived at Faye's house, they were greeted by the quiet and empty space. Faye led Yoko inside, and they immediately felt a sense of freedom and privacy that Eyy rarely experienced.

"Make yourself at home," Faye said, leading Yoko to the living room. "I'm going to start on dinner."

Yoko nodded, settling onto the couch and taking in her surroundings. It was a cozy, welcoming home, filled with personal touches and memories.

In the kitchen, Faye began preparing a simple but delicious meal. She moved with practiced ease, chopping vegetables, seasoning meat, and boiling pasta. Yoko watched from the doorway; a sense of contentment settling over her as she observed Faye in her element.

"Need any help?" Yoko offered.

Faye glance up and smiled. "Just keep me company. That's all the help I need."

Yoko grinned and pulled up a chair, chatting with Faye as she cooked. They talked anoh their days, their plans for the future, and little moments that had made them happy recently.

The atmosphere was warm and intimate, filled with the kind of easy conversation taht only comes from July knowing and trusting someone.

Once the food was ready, Faye set the table and served the meal. They sat across from each other, sharing smiled and laughter over the delicious food. It felt like a dream, this moment of normalcy in their otherwise complicated lives.

"Thank you for this," Yoko said softly, looking across the table at Faye. "It's perfect."

Faye reached across the table and took Yoko's hand. "You're welcome. I'm just glad we can have this time together."

After dinner, they cleaned up the kitchen together, working side by side in a comfortable silence. The sun had set, and the house was filled with a soft, golden light that made everything feel even more magical.

When the kitchen was spotless, Faye led Yoko to the living room. They settled onto the couch, close but not touching, both of them aware of the delicate balance they were maintaining.

"So, what now?" Yoko asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Faye looked at her, her eyes soft and full of emotion. "Now, we just enjoy the moment."

They sat in silence for a while, the only sound the gentle ticking of the clock on the wall. It was a peaceful, perfect moment, and both of them were content to simply be together.
