The final bell rang, releasing students from their classes of the day. Yoko collected her belongings and slowly made her way to the from gates. Her thoughts were heavy, and she dreaded the confrontation she knew she was coming with her stepmother.

Arriving home, Yoko found Mrs. Aspara waiting in the living room, her demeanor deceptively pleasant. "Good evening, Yoko." She greeted, her voice dripping with false sweetness. "How was your day?"

Yoko forced a smile, her nervous on edge. "It was fine, stepmom."

Mrs. Aspara's eyes glinted as she held up Yoko's report card. "We need to talk about this," She said, her tone turning sharp. "You have honors, but not high honors. This is not acceptable."

Yoko's heart sank. She had tried so hard, but it was never enough. "I'm sorry, stepmom. I'm really trying."

"Trying isn't good enough," Mrs. Aspara snapped, her gaze piercing. "You need to excel. I expect high honors, Yoko. Anything less is a failure."

Tears welled up in Yoko's eyes, but she held them back. "Yes, stepmom. I'll do better."

Mrs. Aspara's face softened into a mocking smile. "See that you do. Now, go to your room and study. I expect better results next time."

Yoko hurried to her room, closing the door behind her with a heavy heart. She collapsed onto her bed, feeling the weight of her stepmother's expectations pressing down on her. The tears she held back finally flowed, and she buried her face in her pillow.

After a few moments, she reached for her phone, hoping for a distraction. As she unlocked the screen, a notification popped up. It was a message from Faye Malisorn.

Faye: "Goodnight!❤️"

Yoko's heart lifted. She stared at the message, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. Faye's simple yet heartfelt message was a beacon of light in her dark moment. She quickly typed a reply, her fingers trembling slightly.

Yoko: "Goodnight, Miss Malisorn!❤️"

On the other side of town, Faye was sitting in her living room, her phone in hand. When she saw Yoko's reply, she couldn't help but smile. She felt a warmth in her heart, thinking about the young girl who had become so important to her.

Faye had been concerned about ayoko ever since their conversation at school. She knew Yoko was under a lot of pressure and she wanted to offer her support in any way she could. Sending a simple goodnight message seemed like a small gesture, but she hoped it would let Yoko know she was alone

As Faye thought about Yoko, she felt a mixture of emotions. She cared deeply for her student, more than she had ever expected. It was a delicate situation Mc and she knew she had to navigate it carefully. But in moments like these, when she saw Yoko's smile, it felt worth the effort.

Back in her room, Yoko closed her eyes, still smiling. Fayems message had given her a sense of comfort and hope. She knew the road ahead would be challenging, but with Faye's support, she felt a little stronger, a little more capable of facing whatever came her way.

The lunchtime rush was in full swing as Yoko and her friends, Angel and Isabell, made their way to the main canteen. They found a table near the window and sat down.

The canteen was buzzing with sctibity, the clatter of trays and the hum of conversations creating a lively backdrop. Yoko was only half-litsening to her friends as she picked at her food, her thoughts drifting to Faye Malisorn.

"Hey, Yoko, did you hear what I just said?" Angel nudged her playfully.

Yoko blinked, snapping back to the present. "Sorry, what?"

"I said, did you finish the math homework for tomorrow?" Angel repeated, rolling her eyes with a grin. "Oh yeah, I did," Yoko replied, managing a small smile. "It wasn't too bad."

Isabell leaned in, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "You seem distracted today, Yoko. Everything okay?"

Before Yoko could answer, the door to the main canteen opened, and Ms. Faye Malisorn walked in. For Yoko, it was as if the world slowed down. The noise of the canteen faded into the backround, and all she could see was Faye, her presence commanding and graceful.

Faye scanned the room and her eyes landed on Yoko. She smiled warmly, and Yoko felt her heart skip a beat. Blood rushed to her cheeks, turning them a deep shade of pink: she quickly looked down at her tray. Hoping to hide her embarrassment.

Angel and Isabell exchanged knowing glances. "Yoko, you're blushing!" Isabell teased, nudging her friend. "What's going on?"

"Yeah, spill the beans," Angela Dred with mischievous grin. "Why are you turning all red?"

Yoko shook her head, trying to play it cool. It's nothing... Just it's hot in here that's all."

"Uh-huh." Angela said, clearly unconvinced. "Sure it is."

Faye walked over to the teaches' table, still smiling at Yoko's direction. Yoko risked another glance and she saw Faye talking with some other teachers, but every now and then, her eyes flicked back to Yoko. The connection, even from across the room, made Yoko's heart race.

"So," Isabell said, leaning closer. "Do you have a relationship with Ms. Faye?"

"What? Of course we don't have a relationship."

As the girls continued their lunch, Yoko couldn't help but steal glances at Faye. Despite the impossibility of her feelings, she cherished these small moments of connection. It made her day just a little brighter, and for now, that was enough.

Faye, on the other hand, was aware of Yoko's glances and felt a mix of emotions. She cared deeply for her students and wanted to be supportive figure in their lives.  It she also knew the boundaries she had to maintain.

As lunch ended and the students began to file out of the canteen, Faye caught Yoko's eyes on the last time and gave her an encouraging nod. Yoko smiled, feeling a surge of warmth and determination.

No matter what challenges kay ahead, she knew she had the support of her friends and, in her own way, of Faye Malisorn.
