Yoko sat in her room, feeling an overwhelming senses of loneliness and frustration. She stared at her phone, hoping for a response from Ms. Faye, but there was nothing. Desperation crept in as she posted "Summer Fling?" On Facebook.
After ten minutes of silence, it became clear that Faye was ignoring her. Determined to get away and find some solace, Yoko texted her driver, asking if he knew where her family was.
The driver responded that her father had gone to the mall with her stepmother and stepsisters but hadn't taken the driver with them. Seeing an opportunity, Yoko quickly stood up from her bed and began packing some clothes into her backpack.
She texted her driver again, asking him to drive her to Summer Fling.
The driver replied that their car was being used by her father and the only car left was Yoko's own car, a gift from her dad.
Yoko decided they would use her car instead. After finishing packing, she hurried down to the garage. The driver opened the gate and started the engine, and soon they were on their way to Summer Fling.
The drive took two hours, during which Yoko remained silent, lost in her thoughts.
When they arrived at Summer Fling, the driver parked the car and helped Yoko with her things. Before they got to the hotel, Yoko told the driver to leave her car in the parking lot because she would use it later.
The driver asked how he would get home, so Yoko handed him some money and told him to take a cab.
She also instructed him not to tell her parents where she was, promising to triple his salary if he kept quiet. The driver smiled and agreed, then left.
Yoko checked into a room for one person. After ten minutes, she went up to her room and sat there, reminiscing about the times she and Faye had shared at Summer Fling.
The memories were bittersweet, filling her with both warmth and sadness.
Meanwhile, back at home, Yoko's family returned from the mall. Her father opened the door and called Yoko. "Yoko!" After calling her name three times with no response, he went upstairs and knocked on the door.
When there was still no answer, he grew angry and forced the door open with a spare key. He was shocked to find the room empty, with clothes strewn across the bed. He quickly gathered everyone in the house, including the yaya and the driver.
Inside the house, Yoko's father demanded to know where Yoko was, "Where is my daughter?" But the driver and the yaya both said they didn't know.
His frustration mounted as he called Yoko's friends, "Hello, do you guys know where Yoko is?" But they all claimed ignorance about her whereabouts.
On the other side of town, Faye sat in her room, tears streaming down her face as she thought about Yoko. She missed her terribly and felt a deep, aching love for her.
But suddenly, her phone rang, jolting her out of her thoughts. It was Angel. She answered, and Angel's frantic voice told her that Yoko was missing.
After a brief conversation, Faye grabbed her car keys and headed downstairs. Her parents, noticing her distress, asked where she was going. "Faye, where are you going?"
"I'm going to Summer Fling, Mom. Yoko might be there." Faye explained that she was going to Summer Fling because she believed Yoko might be there. "Okay, take care!" Her parents wished her well and told her to be careful.
After two-hour drive, Faye arrived at Summer Fling. She rushed to the lobby and asked the lady at the counter if there was a room registered under the name Yoko Aspara. "Hello, goodafternoon. May I ask if there's a registered named Yoko Aspara?"
