Friday, Afternoon

Kwon Minsik sat by himself at the school's sports field. He watched as all the students were spending their last full day. Some were running on the track field, others were swinging the baseball bat, while many were sitting by the sun talking amongst their social group. This scene wasn't strange to Minsik, in fact he kept getting reminded of his old life in Christchurch.

Christchurch, being a large city in the Southern Island right by the sea. There were some similarities between Seoul and Christchurch, but there were also differences. The people here are more reserved, not even saying hello unless it's a friend. It was almost completely homogeneous, in fact he was certain he didn't see any white people since he moved here.

He threw his prized rugby ball he took with him. Unlike Korea who's more into Baseball or Soccer, in New Zealand the two most popular sports are cricket and rugby. His rugby team was located in his home country, the All Blacks.

"I didn't think it would be so different. I'm making a fool of myself getting caught up in petty argument. Those blokes don't have a clue who I am." Minsik threw the ball up before catching it.

"There you are Dennis! I've been looking all over for you." Jennie said in English standing behind him.

Minsik turned to see it was indeed Jennie. She stood a level above him wearing the same yellow blazer and skirt all the girls wear. She looked relieved?...

"There's never a way to get rid of you. Your persistence is annoying!" Minsik groaned irritated by this girl's persistence.

"Even though you're a complete jackass, I have the responsibility to look after people in YG. Tell me why are you here? You clearly don't seem interested in being here?" Jennie sat beside him.

Minsik didn't know what to say for once. Never has anyone ever gave him any attention. He never really considered why he joined YG? He just wanted a quick chance for fame.

"It just happened like that." Sounded like a reasonable response.

"There has to be a reason why you moved! People are always driven by a goal of some kind. It doesn't matter how big or small it is, but that person will chase it no matter what."

"What are you Aristotle?"

"It's just an obvious fact! You must've wanted to move to Korea, otherwise you would have not made such an effort."

"Are you saying I came here willingly?..."

"Did you?..." Jennie asked him back.

"The fuck is she trying to ask? I hate these mind games!" Minsik bared his teeth at her in anger. Jennie took a step back.

"Yes I fucking wanted to move here! Do I have to spell it out for you!? Your bullshit mind games aren't gonna work!! You wanna know my dream? It's to be the fucking best rapper there is!! I don't give a shit about Kpop or idol groups!!! I just wanna grab the fucking mic and tell em where I come from. I'm from Papanui, Northside Christchurch ay! My blood may be Korean, but my heart will always pump New Zealand!! I'm a bloody Kiwi til I die!!" Dennis got up and proclaimed right in front of her. He spoke with a Kiwi accent that Jennie hasn't heard in ages.

"Who is this guy?..." Jennie wondered. She felt a sense of familiarity for the first time since moving back to Seoul. In some strange way it was like meeting a long-lost brother.

On the otherside of the courtyard Justin Park was on the phone relaying his findings.

"So, you're saying you had a run with a chaebol heiress? Must have been quite entertaining."
