Chapter 5: The Feels Are Everywhere

Becca's P.O.V.
I was sitting in the living room/kitchen of our apartment watching Austin and Ally when my phone started ringing. It was Rydel. "Hey Delly," I said answering it. "Hey Bec. Do you wanna come over and hang by the pool with us? I think Riker and Kyla are on the way," she asked. "Sure thing. See ya girlie," I replied. "Later gator."

I went into my bedroom and picked out a yellow bikini with pink polka dots. I chose yellow because I know it's Ross' favourite colour. Yeah that's right. I like Ross. I was trying to impress him because I finally gathered up all the courage to tell him how I feel and this was the perfect occasion. Both of us grew really close ever since Kyla intorduced us to each other. He was my best friend other than Kyla.

I put the bikini on and placed a blue tank top and black shorts over it. I grabbed my phone, headphones and sunglasses and hopped in my car. I drove down to the Lynch's house.

When I pulled up I saw Riker's car parked in the driveway which meant he and Kyla were here already. I got out and walked up the stairs. I rand the doorbell and Rocky answered. "Hey Bec," he greeted giving me a hug. "Hey Rocky," I replied as he released me from his grip. "Come on in," he said and I nodded and smiled in response. I then heard giggling. That's unusual cuz it was a girl's giggle but it wasn't Rydel's. I bent the corner and walked into the living room. That's when my heart sank to my stomach.

I saw Ross sitting on the couch with his arm around this girl who looked surprisingly like Maia. I knew it wasn't her though because we became really close friends since I started hanging out with Ross. He tore his gaze away from the girl and noticed me, "Oh hey there Becca." "Hey Ross," I chocked out. "Oh uh this is Becca and Becca this is Courtney......my girlfriend," he said. His words made my heart stop. Time froze as well as my body. "G-girlfriend?" I stuttered. "Yeah we started dating last week," he said proudly and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

At that moment I broke. I ran out of the room and went up to Rydel's. She was the only one who knew I liked Ross. I knocked on her door with tears streaming down my face. She answered and immediately pulled me in and locked the door. "Bec what happened? Why are you crying?" She asked concerned. "R-Ross. He has a......g-girlfriend," I stuttered and began sobbing violently. She wrapped me in a hug and I cried into her shoulder. "So I guess you met Courtney," she stated in a disgusted tone.

I pulled away and looked at her. "You don't like her?" I asked shocked. "Hell no! None of us do! We just pretend to because she threatened us and said if we don't 'respect' her she would take Ross away from us. We all just try to play along," she said using air quotations and getting angrier by the minute. "Wow," was all I managed to say. "Yeah. She even told Riker that if he doesn't do what she says she would break his bass and hurt Kyla. Being the best friend he is he has to play along as well," she said. I was a little scared for Kyla at first but then relaxed at the thought of Riker protecting her. As if Rydel read my mind she said, "I know it's cute that he wants to protect her."

I smiled widely at the thought and we began a deep conversation about Ryla. Yes we have a ship name for them already. Rocky came up with it and I think it's really cute. My mind just drifted away from Ross and I was concentrating on Rydel. Maybe Ross getting a girlfriend isn't the best thing in the world, but atleast his family is there to support me when I need them. And I am always there when they need me especially in this situation. It's kinda awesome that they are against this relationship since they all ship Raia and Raura. I know Rocky and Alexa like each other so me and Rydel have to come up with a ship name for them. Don't even get me started on Rydellington. Am I rambling? Sorry it's just that my feelings are all over the place. But I'm not gonna let that get in the way of mine and Rydel's girl time.
