UNEXPECTED (A Riker Lynch fanfiction)

Chapter 14: Kydel???

Rydel's P.O.V. 

So, after we got settled in and I met almost the whole of Kyla's family. Then, it was finally time to get ready. We were told to stay in Kyla's room until the guys called us downstairs. They even had Jordan stay watch outside her door!

Anyway, since I share my birthday with Kyla, I've decided that I should change up my look for once. I wanted to get the tomboy look that Kyla rocks so perfectly. We both decided that we should wear the exact same outfit.

Kyla showered first and I went after. Then, we started on our clothes. We both wore Barcelona soccer jerseys with Neymar's name and number on it (which Kyla got me!!!), black skinny jeans and I wore my black converse while Kyla borrowed Riker's combat boots. I know it sounds weird but it looked super adorable. I still can't believe she took them out of his suitcase and he didn't even notice. That girl has got some mad skills!

After that, we started on hair and makeup. We straightened each others hair and we both wore black and white headbands. Kyla got her new black and white converse glasses yesterday and they matched perfectly.  I then added some foundation, lip gloss, mascara and blue eye shadow to Kyla and she did the same for me. We sprayed on some of her Chanel 5 perfume and we were ready exactly when the guys started shouting our names.

We smiled at each other and headed out the door. We were then greeted by Jordan. He smiled at us and wrapped Kyla in a hug. "Happy birthday Ky, " he said to her. He then hugged me and told me happy birthday as well . He then guided us to the top of the stairs. "You ready?" he asked us. We smiled to each other and linked arms before saying,"Ready," in unison.

We headed down the stairs only for both mine and Kyla's jaws to hit the ground.

Kyla's P.O.V.

"SURPRISE!!!" everyone screamed as we reached the bottom of the stairs. There were streamers and balloons everywhere, a table with lots of Trini cuisine, a table with the cake and a banner that said "Happy Birthday Kydel" hanging above......wait, who the hell is Kydel?

"Who the hell is Kydel?" Rydel asked. I swear that girl reads my mind sometimes. "It's Rydel and Kyla. Kydel. We thought of Ryla but that's Riker and Kyla's ship name so...." Ross explained before drifting off. I felt my cheeks burn up and I bent my head down slightly. 

After many laughs, Rydel and I ran over to Riker and he engulfed us in a huge hug. "Happy birthday," he whispered to us. "My two girls," he said to us as he pulled away. We smiled at him and proceeded to hug the other guys. Just as I released Ryland, I felt a pair of hands cover my eyes and that oh so familiar voice ring through my ears, "So yuh come all the way from L.A. and yuh didn't even come to tell me hi? What a boss of a best friend Kyla." I squealed loudly and jumped into the arms of Kristyn, tackling her in a huge hug.

"Happy birthday girl," she said as we pulled away. "Well hello to you too," I heard before wrapping Kareina in a hug as well. "I missed you," she said to me. "I missed you too," I replied and pulled away. "So I can't get a hug?" Farishtah said behind me. I engulfed her in a hug and before we knew it, we were in a huge group hug.

I heard a cough behind us and I turned around, only to see the Lynchs standing there. "Oh! Guys, these are the Lynchs. Lynchs this is Kristyn, Kareina and Farishtah," I said pointing out to everyone. They all greeted each other warmly before heading out to meet my family. "Dang! Ross is so much hotter in person," Kareina beamed with a smile plastered on her face. But, her face dropped completely in a matter of seconds. I focused my eyes on what she was staring at, and it was Ross flirting with Becca. I wrapped Kareina in  hug and reassured her that everything would be okay.

-2 hours later-

The party so far has been great. The guys really went all out. I owe them a huge thank you. Kristyn, Kareina, Farishtah, Becca and I are on my couch each with a coke in our hands talking and catching up on what's going on in each other's lives. I told them about my crush on Riker and they all went through a squealing fit since they are all R5ers like me.

Just then, the guys came out and set out stools and microphones in the middle of the living room. The R5 boys, plus Ryland, all sat down, instruments in hand. "Hey everyone," Ross started. The room fell dead silent and all attention was on them. "Thank you all for coming to Rydel and Kyla's birthday. Now we're just gonna sing a little for you all," he continued. They started off with 'Loud' and ended with 'Say You'll Stay' since they know it's one of my favorites.

"So, now we just have a little surprise for one of the birthday girls. Kyla, I really hope you like it," Rocky said smirking as all the guys, except Riker, exit the stage.

He grabbed an acoustic guitar and said, "Happy birthday Ky. I hope you had a wonderful one." He then started strumming the chords for 'I Think About You' from Austin and Ally.

Last summer we met
We started as friends
I can't tell you how it all happened
Then autumn came
We were never the same
Those nights everything felt like magic

Riker then fixed his gaze on me and started walking slowly in my direction. My stomach released butterflies as I realised he was singing to me.

He ended the song back where he started and he never broke eye contact with me. "So, Kyla. I've known you for 8 months now and to me it's been the best 8 months of my life. I don't know where I would be in the world today if I hadn't spilled that ice-cream all over you," he said which earned some laughs from the crowd. "You're my rock, my world, my other half, my everything. You've been with be through everything and I can't tell you how much i appreciate it. So, what I'm asking you is, Kyla Matthews, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked full of hope.

".....No."
