CHAPTER11|AVERY STIRLING
I am so glad Jaxon went back home to Massachusetts because he was completely hogging my best friend. Ever since he's left her side I've had her undivided attention. It feels great to finally have someone to talk to every now and then other than being bothered by Dorian who seems to talk a lot when he's around me
That man is a pain in my ass and if I dont get away from him anytime soon I will end up burning this entire city up and he will go along with it
When I say along with it I mean he will burn to death and I'd be somewhere sipping on a mocktail
I've been writing this book for months and I still have no idea on what to write at certain points of time. I got to write and I just pause as soon as my fingers land on the keyboard of my laptop. And I think to myself. This must be what hell feels like
And I'm sure I'm actually in hell if Dorian's insufferable ass exists and he knows that I exist. Dorian and I hate each other for some reasonable reasons but also for no reason. And I can admit we're unreasonable most of the time and Quinn is sick of it. Even if she actually kind of hates his guts. But Quinn doesn't like anyone
Currently we're on our way to some type of speakeasy or whatever Quinn said it was. Since I have been busy and caught up in my work more than hanging out with her and all she's been doing most of her time is wedding plan most of her days she decided we both needed a break
Stepping into the room we take a seat in the front row as we watch a lady prepare herself to give us a show. She looked so familiar. Her hair was so long you'd almost mistake her as Rapunzel. From here I could see her crystal colored eyes twinkle in the bright lights that sit above her
"Have you ever heard the saying in every universe, it's you for me, even if it's not me for you?." the lady asks the crowd full of people. The back of my eyes began to burn and I'm starting to think maybe it's because of the damp air. But I'm so sure it's because I'm very familiar with that quote
Before anyone else could say anything, some random guy way in the back had something to say about it. I tried to see who he was but he sat in the darkest corner. No one could see him unless they were directly in front of him or sat on the side of him
"I've heard of it but I never quite understood it. I mean what's the point." he asks, clearly sitting up in his seat. What was the point?. Men make me question their existence every day I open my two eyes
She glances across the room at the man and flashes a small smile. She says nothing before placing the mic back up to her mouth. "How could that quote be hard to analyze?."
He chuckles slowly before getting up from his seat and walking up to the front of the room. When the light shines on him it's clear that I need to leave. "I'm just pulling your chain. How are you sister?."
"I'd be good if you wouldn't interrupt my shows constantly, Dorian. Please take a seat and zip it." she bites before rolling her eyes
Flicking my eyes between the two I could see the resemblance. God if I meet her I pray she isn't just like him. The looks are fine but the personality would really kill me from the inside out.
"You okay?."
"Can we leave?."
Quinn nods before grabbing her things and standing up at the same time I did. "Show too much for you?."
I exhale a breath I didn't even know I was holding in as I made my way past the crowd of people, the weight on my chest finally disintegrated into the atmosphere. "I'm hungry that's all, can you maybe go over to that food truck and grab us some tacos?. I'll wait here."
