CHAPTER18|WYATT FORD

I don't know what ticks me off more wearing a suit everyday of my life or having to deal with a woman I want nothing to do with everyday of my life

Hale had been helping me try on this suit for Jaxon's wedding since I wasn't able to make it the other day. I've been handling things that my father has been going on about

If I could rate this entire week I'd probably give it a zero. This week has not been the best week and if it was the only thing that made it that way was my conversation on the phone with Avery

Once he got the tie in a neat knot he moved from in front of the mirror so I could see how I looked. I'm not one to be cocky but I do look good in anything. If Avery was here she'd agree and I'd compliment her a million times

Taking out my phone I snap a few pictures to send to her since she won't be able to see her hunk of a boyfriend at this exact moment. I can't wait to see her in her gown I know for a fact she'll take my breath away

Hale rolled his eyes a few times as I made a few faces in the mirror. Jaxon would've been here but he's too busy running around with Noah and Thomas who can't seem to be quiet for a second

Those two bicker just like Quinn and Noah do. I guess Noah has met his match since Quinn's been gone. I'll be glad to tell her when we visit that her brother has the exact same attitude as her

Coming into the room was Valencia who held two coffees and a bag that I'm sure had muffins inside. My favorite muffin is the pumpkin spice one and if anyone ever opened their mouth to talk down it it would be hell

I was about to go in for that bag when Harper came in all busted up. The warmth in my chest suddenly left and was replaced with heat. Heat that made me realize I was fuming

"Can you guys give us a minute?." I asked

"We'll be down the hall,"Valencia answered. "Nice to see you again,Harper."

Hale pats my back before following behind Valencia who held onto those warm and fluffy muffins I had wanted seconds ago but that soon disappeared from my mind when she came into the room

"Harper, how many times do I have to tell you to stop feeding into their bullshit at the clubs?. Everytime we get there they seem to blow a fuse and make you go all caveman on them." I argue

This isn't the first time she's come home with cuts and bruises. But I understand those but this doesn't look like she beat the shit out of someone. No.. this looks like she was attacked and couldn't fend for herself

The girl slams the door shut and the small cut on her lip bleeds continuously."It's not my fault, I did what I had to do but the man. He wanted to humiliate me in front of everyone for some reason. And you know I would be killed if I tried something there."

She roams around the room searching for first aid. Making my way behind my desk I open a drawer and pull it out before slamming it shut. My hands were shaking as I opened it. It was clear that I wasn't happy

"Who did it?," I asked. "And don't you stutter when you tell me. I need you to say it loud and clear."

If bullying was what he wanted, well he was gonna get that. Usually I'd tell Harper to stick up for herself since she thinks she's up for this job but today it's different. And I'm gonna have to fix it by getting pay back for her

And if that bitch thinks he's getting away with a warning than he had an idea but not a very great one

"You're not going there alone again. For now I'm coming with you."
