Daenerys stood before the large, panoramic window of her penthouse, the view dominated by the plume of smoke rising from the Jedi Temple. Her heart ached with worry as she watched the blackened skies. C-3PO had informed her that Anakin had left the Chancellor's office and headed to the Temple right before the attack. She had spent hours pacing, her mind a whirl of fear and concern. The occasional distant explosion only served to deepen her anxiety.

As she stood lost in thought, C-3PO entered the room, his movements precise and purposeful. "My lady, there's a Jedi fighter docking on the building's ship dock," he announced.

Daenerys turned abruptly, her heart leaping into her throat. Without another word, she rushed out of the living room, her flowing silver hair trailing behind her. She sped through the corridors of the penthouse, her breath quickening with each step. She reached the ship dock just as Anakin was exiting the green Jedi starfighter.

"Anakin!" she cried out, rushing into his arms. They embraced each other tightly, both clinging to each other with relief and worry. Daenerys pulled back slightly, her eyes scanning his face for any signs of injury.

"Are you all right? I heard there was an attack on the Jedi Temple. . . You can see the smoke from here," she said, her voice trembling with concern.

"I'm fine. I'm fine," Anakin assured her, cupping her cheek tenderly. "I came to see if you and the baby are safe."

Daenerys placed her hand over Anakin's, leaning into his touch. "Ever since the attack, my senatorial guards have been here on watch. I'm safe; we're safe," she said, her other hand resting on her stomach. "What's happening?" she asked, her voice a mix of fear and confusion.

Anakin sighed heavily, his expression troubled. "The situation is not good. The Jedi have tried to overthrow the Republic. .," he said, his tone filled with disappointment.

Daenerys shook her head, refusing to accept his words. "I can't believe that!"

"I couldn't either at first, but it's true. I saw Master Windu attempt to assassinate the Chancellor myself," Anakin said, his eyes darkening at the memory.

"But that's good, Ani, is it not? We discovered he was a Sith Lord orchestrating the entire war," Daenerys reminded him. "We want him arrested for everything he has done."

"You're right," Anakin agreed, his voice softening. "But I saw the way Master Windu handled the situation. He tried to kill the Chancellor on the spot without a fair trial, but it was unjustifiable. It showed the true colors of the Jedi, Dany," he finished, removing his hand from her cheek.

Daenerys looked into Anakin's eyes, searching for the truth. "But, Ani, he's a Sith Lord. Surely he must be stopped," she insisted.

Anakin sighed again, trying to find the right words. "The Chancellor opened my eyes. He has truly been loyal to the Republic, despite being a Sith Lord. If he truly wanted to destroy everything, he would have done so years ago. He wants to build a better world."

Daenerys turned away, processing what Anakin was saying. "Break the wheel. .," she whispered, thinking of her lifelong struggle against tyranny.

"Dany, he wants to break the wheel. Isn't that something you have been fighting for your whole life?" Anakin asked, his voice gentle yet firm.

"We cannot betray the Republic. . . Our loyalties lie with the Chancellor, now known as Darth Sidious, and with the Senate," Anakin said, his voice steady. "And with each other," he added, stepping closer to her.

"What about Obi-Wan?" Daenerys asked, her worry shifting to her friend and mentor.

"I don't know... Many Jedi have been killed. The reason I was at the temple was to help stop the rogue Jedi. We can only hope that he's remained loyal to the Chancellor," Anakin said, his voice filled with uncertainty.

Daenerys sighed, her frustration and fear bubbling to the surface. Anakin pulled her into a comforting hug, kissing her forehead. "What do we do now, Anakin?" she asked, her voice muffled against his chest.

"Have faith, my love. Everything will soon be set right. The Chancellor has given me a very important mission. The separatists have gathered in the Mustafar system. I'm going there to end this war," Anakin stated, his tone resolute.

"What am I supposed to do?" Daenerys asked, looking up at him with wide, worried eyes.

"The Chancellor wants you to get your dragon and meet me on Mustafar when you can. I believe he will meet with us when he has finished his business here," Anakin said, his eyes earnest.

Daenerys nodded, her mind racing with the implications of his words. "I'll contact Queen Amidala on Naboo and see if she can get Drogon here as soon as possible," she said.

Anakin nodded in response, but she still noticed the worry etched on her face. "I can't deny that some of what the Chancellor has been telling and teaching me has resonated with me, even if it did seem wrong at first. But... . . ." Daenerys paused, her voice trailing off.

Anakin placed a finger on her lips, silencing her. "Things will be different, hopefully better. I promise," he said, his voice filled with conviction.

He pulled her close, stroking a strand of her silver hair before leaning in to kiss her. The kiss was long and filled with longing, both of them aware that they would be separated for a while. They parted reluctantly, their foreheads touching and their eyes closed as they savored the moment.

"I'll see you soon, my love," Anakin whispered, before breaking away and climbing back into his fighter ship.

Daenerys watched as Anakin's ship took off and flew into the sky, her heart aching with both love and fear. C-3PO approached her, his mechanical voice breaking the silence.

"My lady, is there anything I might do?" the droid asked.

Daenerys paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts. "Send an urgent message to Naboo and inform Queen Amidala that I need my dragon sent to Coruscant immediately," she stated, her voice steady.

"As you wish, my lady," C-3PO replied, before walking back into the living area.

Daenerys stood alone for a moment longer, her mind a tumult of emotions. She knew that the path ahead would be fraught with danger and uncertainty, but she also knew that she had to be strong for the sake of her child and for the future they hoped to build. With a final glance at the departing ship, she turned and walked back into her bedroom, steeling herself for the trials to come.
