"Remind me again why we do this? She always wins!" Emily quipped, clearly annoyed.
"Well, then, maybe you two have to try harder so that she won't win, no?"
To Lucy's statement, Yoongi and Jimin snickered from the bench and Amelia straight up snorted. Which only caused the twins to glare at all three of them.
"How about we take a break, then? Let's continue tomorrow?" Lucy finally suggested, seeing how all three of her apprentices were starting to get a little tired.
Lucy smiled when Mina said something that had a bicker start all over again with Amelia and Emily. The fact that the younger Witch was getting better and better at spell work was both annoying and surprising to them, so, of course, they would tease her when they could. Let's just say that Yoongi and Jimin were no help.
After Amelia had finally been able to bring forth her familiar again, after getting her powers back, Lucy had suggested the girl practiced her offensive spells. It was mostly a way for Lucy to check if Amelia still had full control of her own powers and, sure enough, she did. Six weeks ago, when Amelia got her powers returned to her body, Lucy had seriously thought things would go awfully wrong and the girl would go completely rogue and insane. Nothing happened, sure, but all sorts of things went through her mind at that time.
The girl's mother had been one of them. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Things had started to fall into some sort of normalcy, so to speak. Amelia was frustrated that her mentor wasn't allowing her to go out into the night to go back to hunting demons, which made her a bit moody. But, seriously, at this point Lucy was just trying to make sure the girl wouldn't be any sort of danger.
Call it preventing the bad from happening.
At least Mina and Emily were fully bonded now. That meant their powers were stable and stronger, even if none of them knew how to get Amelia during practice. Amelia and Jungkook hadn't bonded yet. That, in some way, was a bit strange. They both always seemed so in love and close, one would think that the bonding would've already happened.
Thinking about that diverted Lucy's thoughts to Jin.
Her relationship with Jin was... well, the same, with the only difference she lived with him. They lived in the same house and yet it seemed like they were living in two separate countries. She knew it was mostly her fault, so, of course, it only made Lucy feel guilty more and more every time he spoke to her.
One thing was for sure, though, Jin had made no move on her whatsoever. It felt strange, seeing as Jin used to be a natural flirt with her and always did his best to gain her attention. Maybe he was getting tired.
Making her way to the library, Lucy considered what she could do to make amends. There had to be something, right? Jin had already done so much for her and the girls these past months that she was starting to feel horrible about not doing something for him. Especially considering he didn't have to. Jin could have ignored Amelia when he found her almost dead in the forest. He could have allowed the twins to go their way with Amelia, instead offering to help. And he sure as hell didn't have to call Lucy to tell her the whereabouts of her apprentices.
