"I'm sorry! I thought it would fit! It's the same size as your other clothing."
I looked up at Fern, who was staring at the scattered clothes on the bed.
"See," he said picking one up, "This says small, so I got a small."
I grabbed the jumper he was holding and held it up against my chest, "Yes, Small in jumpers, does not mean I am a small in a dress as well!"
"What?"
Fern scratched his head as he started at me.
"Just cause one brand is a small doesn't mean I'm a small in all! Besides, you need to look at the centimetre measurements, not the actual label size," I explained.
I grrabbed another shirt from the pile and held it up agains the jumper, "See, same size but the shirt is a medium."
I grabbed the label from inside the shirt and pulled it out.
"How was I meant to know?"
That was right, he wasn't meant to know and that's why they should't be buying me any clothing.
I barely knew my own size when I was buying online and it doesn't work very well when you weren't the same structure through the entire body and had bits sticking out. I threw the jumper and the shirt on the bed, "Whatever, it's not a big deal."
I shouldn't be getting angry at Fern, he was just trying to help me, or Gabriel and was doing a shit job at it but nevertheless he was trying. I had to take my anger out elsewhere, probably on Gabriel.
There as a knock at the door and we both looked at each other.
"Who's that?" I asked.
"Gabriel, probably," Fern said as he grabbed more clothing and threw it into my open suitcase.
"Gabriel doesn't know," I pointed out. Normally he just likes to barge into the room and expect us all to be okay with it. Or he'll knock and then immediately open the door, not giving, you enough time to do anything anyway.
"Yes?" I called out, wondering his Athena decided to give us another visit, but for some reason Athena didn't seem like someone who would knock anyway.
The door opened and Galean walked in, someone I did not expect to be knocking on my door.
"Gabriel has gone out," Fern's voice rung out behind me.
"I'm not here to see my brother," Galen responded as he wailed further into the room.
"Then?" I prompted.
"I wanted to hang around with my sister in law, is that a crime?"
Well yes, I thought. Gabriel had warned me off him and I was extremely uncomfortable being alone with him, but I guess I had Fern, so I shouldn't worry too much.
"What are you guys doing, packing?"
Fern kicked my suitcase shut as Galen walked around me towards Fern.
"Is this a room just for all your clothes...or...does Gabriel not stay in this room?" Galen asked looking around. He still looked innocent and nothing dangerous like Gabriel warned me, but I took caution.
"I'm just packing," I said quickly. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this was my room, my crap was scattered everywhere and there wasn't a single man's thing anywhere.
Galen continued to look around and I took a deep breath, trying to look like nothing was bothering me that he was here in our room. Why the heck did Gabriel keep disappearing when we needed him. I could see that Fern was on his phone, his fingers flying across the screen. He better be texting him.
