Deepika's POV:
" I want to design bedroom" Manoj said.
" Me too " Meera said.
" I want to design bedroom too " Joshitha said.
We were sitting in a circle around my drafting table in the front row and discussing.
Joshitha was new to our group. She is a very happy go lucky girl. I have heard that her dad owns real estate business and they are very rich. But she was so down to earth.
Daniel was opposite to Joshitha. He was very quiet. He would smile and nod his head when someone makes a joke. His character was completely opposite to his macho body. Psst, they say he goes to the gym regularly.
" All of us can't design the same bedroom space. It's a house not a hotel. " Lavanya said.
" Let's pick lots " I said and everyone finally agreed.
Surprisingly Daniel got main Bedroom design, Lavanya got Dining room and backyard, I got Kitchen, Joshitha got Living room and drawing room, Meera had to do kids bedroom and Manoj got pooja room, courtyard and front yard design.
We had to design spaces in a house. We had to pick an imaginary client and design the house.
" Let's say that the client is a fan of chettinad architecture. " Manoj said.
" I wanted to do modern architecture" Meera whined.
" Chettinad is better " I piped in.
" We can go to Karaikudi and say that as our study " Manoj said.
That's a good idea, we could do live study of real life buildings and do better design.
" Your group is the loudest group in this whole class !" Kiran Sir said as he walked to our table.
" That's how we get better ideas Sir " Manoj said. Kiran Sir laughed and left.
Velu Sir was not in the class. Since this entire semester design was group project, we all were chilled about it.
We discussed the plan to visit Karaikudi by the coming weekend. Daniel would bring his car, we all would go together and come back in the same day.
" It would be so much fun !" Manoj said.
" Yeah " Joshitha joined him.
" Can we bring Sanjay too ?" Manoj asked Daniel.
" Yeah, we can. " Daniel said.
My eyes instantly turned towards Arjun.
Anusha was sitting arguably close to him. His group was also sitting in a circle around his table.
I turned back to my group and was debating if I should ask him.
" Hey, can we ask Arjun too ?" I asked them.
The group became silent for a moment. I widened my eyes and looked at them.
" He is working for NASA with seniors, so I don't think he would come " Manoj said.
I nodded my head slowly.
" Try asking him, before he plans something" Lavanya said.
" Go ask him" Manoj said.
" Okay " I said and quickly walked to Arjun's table.
As I walked closer, Arjun's face was turning red.
" Hi " I said to him.
His entire group turned to look at me.
Cancel the mission, what was I thinking! , I turned back to see Manoj hiding his laughter, wait, he tricked me ?
