Deepika's POV:
Tears streamed down my face as I ran away as fast as I could.
I need to get far away from this place as soon as possible. Anusha's words were running through my mind.
My vision was becoming blurry. I almost slipped on the stairs near the portico but was saved by Vinoth.
" Hey, Be careful !" He said to me.
" Thanks " I said and tried to walk away.
" Deepika, wait !" Vinoth called behind me.
I hesitated and turned around. I brushed off the tears from my face with my hands.
" You okay ?" He asked me.
" Yeah " I said and gave him a fake smile.
" You don't look okay " he said.
I huffed out and shook my head.
" Any problem?" He asked me.
" No, it's just, I lost one of my drafted sheets. That's why " I lied.
" Hmm. Still, I would suggest you to drink some water and then be on your way. " He said and handed me his water bottle.
I took a sip out of it as a courtesy and returned it to him.
" By the way, Did you see Arjun anywhere? " He asked me.
" Nope " I said and shook my head.
Damn Arjun. That asshole can,, whatever.
" Okay, cool " he said.
I waved good-bye to him and quickly walked out of the department.
Sanjay was waiting for me in his car.
I got in and rushed him to start moving the car.
" Did you see a ghost or something?" Sanjay asked me laughing.
" Something much worse " I said.
" What is it ?" He asked me.
" Saw Arjun alone with Anusha " I told him.
He shook his head and it looked like he was disappointed.
" Life is difficult" Sanjay said and laughed.
" How can you laugh ?" I asked him.
" Because, I know Arjun for almost half of my life. You know that me and Arjun are schoolmates right ?" Sanjay asked me.
" Yeah " I said.
" He isn't the type to fall for girls like Anusha. Trust me. " Sanjay said.
" Why ?" I asked curiously.
" Because I know!" He said.
" That's what I am asking, what do you know?" I asked him.
" We are at your bus stop, see you tomorrow!" He said and stopped his car.
" Saving your friend? " I asked him as I stepped out of his car.
" Nope, saving you from unnecessary thoughts " he said and waved good-bye.
After Sanjay left, I got in a less crowded bus and got a seat to sit.
I plugged in my earphones and my playlist began running.
Yeah, Sanjay must be right, I shouldn't worry about Arjun and Anusha.
Wait a minute, why should I worry ?
