The New Delhi- Mumbai expressway had green pastures spread to infinity from both sides. Massive stone hills were standing in a sequence along the way.  The area around the road was completely deserted this morning. The rustling leaves were brushed to the side as a car passed by at full speed. Sally was leaning on the black Mercedes E-class, borrowed from Natasha's mom.

Ranjan and Kevin were standing next to each other, sipping on hot tea together.

"Final statement: Gurpreet Singh, a 40-year-old scientist, had been killed in a police encounter. He caused the kidnapping and death of a 17-year-old teen, Kevin Varghese. Works?"

"Works," Kevin said. It was the first time he heard someone use his surname. It was the first time for everything.

"Can I ask you something?" Ranjan asked.

"Sure."

"Why didn't you kill Arjun?"

"If I killed Arjun, I wouldn't have received any satisfaction. Only Natasha knew how much pain she faced, Only she shall know the right punishment."

"How are you going to handle the pain?... Of Natasha not being there."

"She is there but not where I want her to be. Once I never thought I would, Experience love with her. Now, that I have experienced it. It burns my heart to part ways. If this keeps happening, I will never be satisfied." Kevin sighed.  "Just hope there's another chance but I am still grateful."

"You have learnt a lot for an 18-year-old." Ranjan smiled.

"I have faced a lot for an 18-year-old."

"I have something for you," Ranjan says walking backwards to the jeep.

Ranjan handed out a few blue pendant pieces and a small book from his jeep.

"This book was given by Natasha's mom. She said it was her diary. These broken pieces I wanted you to keep it. Just for you to remember everything that happened."

"Thank you," Kevin replied in his low tone. "I have to leave."

"Yep. Bye."

"Bye."

Kevin and Sally sit back inside the car. Ranjan watches as the car speeds off headed to a new destination. He waved as they left. He felt his heart lighten for a moment. The first time, He was doing the wrong thing with the right intention.

Kevin played with blue pendant pieces in his mind. With the cold touch, His life flashed like a movie as he closed his eyes. The day his mom forces him to talk with Sally. He is laughing with Sally in her room. Natasha shouted at him in the middle of a hall. Kartik and the gang punching him in the stomach. When He runs after Natasha. Natasha's lovely smile as her head turned over the shoulder. Her head was lying on his shoulder. When he shot the assassin in the house. Kartik was running away from Kevin in the rain. Blood was dripping over his eyes while looking at Gurpreet. Finally, to the present, where he was sleeping in the backseat of the car.

"Next time, we meet promise me one thing, Kevin." Natasha's voice played in his mind. "You will never leave me again."

"I won't Natasha." He said. "I won't"

He quietly sighs holding the pendant pieces in tightly close to his heart.

"I will find a way. Just wait."
