OOPS!

It was just any other busy day at the local police station. People were sitting on the wooden benches, waiting to file their complaints. Nowadays, although the crime rate has started to decline, people are still presenting small cases: small fights, chain snatching and robberies. Police were scurrying around amidst the intense heat.  

This job was handled by the new assistant sub-inspector, Nasir. Nasir was sitting at his table reviewing the case files and evidence for Gurpreet's case.  He had to file for the closure report. He was going through the evidence in a big blue box beside him.

"I must send this to the forensic department. They can unlock and find the details."

Then, he finds the blue coloured pendant.

"Hmm.. this looks cool. This doesn't seem to be related to the case. Wonder what it could mean."

He opened the brown file with his profile and case details next to him.

"Oh! This pendant is magical. I didn't know even scientists cook up bullshit now."

He continuously flips through the other pages. Until he finally stops to look at a photo. Kayla and Gurpreet were standing next to each other on the beach.

"Damnn, she looks hot ... how did he get such a girl? I wish I could be with her man. I wish."

A glint of blue light emanates from the blue pendant. Nasir turned towards the pendant immediately. It was staying still at it's place. 

"That was weird. I guess I am dreaming due to no sleep." 

He took the pendant and dropped it back into the box. 

"Nasir, do you want to get some Tea?" One of the policemen in the station asks him.

"Definitely. Need a break from sitting all day."

He threw the record over the pile of files lined up. As he left the police station, A beam of light shone from the box.

Vaidehi Hospital was filled with a lively crowd. Sundays are generally packed for all doctors with appointments on their list. Nurses were busy walking around the corridors grabbing the reports in their hands. Patients were seated on the sofas at one end waiting for their turn. 

The ICU room was the quietest at the other end of the corridor. One of the nurses entered the room to do a regular check. She was holding a pen in one hand and the pad close to her body in the other hand. She walked past the blank white curtains in the continuous stretch quietly. Suddenly, a beeping sound brings her to a halt. She slowly peered through the curtains. Her Jaw dropped. The Heartbeat levels in the monitor started to increase. She stared at the board stuck to the stretcher.

"Patient Natasha. She has woken up from the coma."

She went forward to get a better look at the monitor. There was no mistake. When she turns her head, The patient's eyes were wide open. The nurse screamed in shock and ran out of the ICU room.

While Natasha lifted herself from the stretcher. She was through the features of her very own body. Like it was her first time living in this body. She looked at her frail and soft hands with excitement. She plucked the piercing tubes connected to her arm. 

"WOW! It feels great to be young again. Welcome home, Kayla."
