Christmas night

The streets were lit up with a variety of coloured lights this Christmas. Everyone was walking around enthusiastically filled with their Christmas spirit. Kayla was walking around cherishing the Christmas spirit in her new body. She was walking towards the La Creme Restaurant for her fake date. It was her first date she was so dressed up for. She noticed a mirror at the entrance of the restaurant. She glanced at her new curvaceous body perfectly shown with the red satin dress touching her knees.

This brought her back to old memories. It reminded her of her sneak-out date with Amrit. She carefully sneaked out of her house and met him at midnight. The image of her sitting beside him in the car alone flashed in her mind. They were listening to soothing songs on the long drive. That night, she slept with him in the car. Her head rested on Amrit's bare chest while the rest of their body was covered with a thin blanket. She was watching the sunset together near the cliff of a hill, just spending together their moments of love.

Oh! Amrit. I miss you so much! Just wait for me. You will come here soon.

She wipes her old memories off and looks for the table. There on her right side, she finds the man. Nasir was staring at his phone on the table. She walks to the table. Nasir looks up to see his date. 

"Hi, Nasir. Natasha here." 

"H...Hi, N...Na...Natasha." Nasir's words fumbled. "Please sit down."

"Well, I must say you are looking Handsome, Nasir."

The trick worked very well. Nasir's cheeks blushed with an apple-red colour. 

"You look Gorgeous, too."

"Thank you. Well, tell me something interesting."

"Well, nothing much interesting. I am just a regular new police officer. I just got my post in the police station. I've been having fun lately and living a bachelor life. What about you?"

"Well, nothing much. I have just got a software job in a really good firm. The same boring working hours. I tried to entertain myself for the rest of the time with some parties. Today, It seems you are my entertainment." Kayla said with a fake laugh. 

He laughed at her too. Then, his hands move from the table to his pant pockets. Kayla's eyes carefully move as she notices his hands going down. At the same time, Kayla's fingers slowly move towards the fork. 

If he is going to get such dirty thoughts, I will stab him with this fork.

Then, he came out with a chain having a blue pendant in the middle. Kayla loosens the grip of her fork. Her jaw drops looking at the same chain.

"Beautiful, isn't it?"

"Ye...yeah. It's Amazing. You got this just for me?"

"Yeah. It was for 1 lakh rupees. I bought it for you because I had a good feeling about this."

BULLSHIT 1 LAKH!!

"Thank you. So much for this."

"Let me tie it for you."

Nasir leans forward with the chain, getting closer to her face. He puts the hook correctly and goes down to kiss her on the neck. Kayla gives him a fake smile to hide her anger.

"Well, You don't have a surprise for me?"

"I do. How about I give it to you in your house?"

That you will forget having a spouse !!

Kevin and Sally were eating in a restaurant in Mumbai. Kevin was playing with the noodles on his fork. Sally noticed Kevin's glum face facing downwards. The crowd in the restaurant was jovial in the Christmas spirit. 

" What seems to keep your mood off?" Sally asked.

Kevin lifts his head slowly. " Nothing. It just feels lonely this Christmas. Do you remember what happened last Christmas night?"

"I forgot. What happened?"

" That was the time when we all were sitting happily in one room talking with each other. You, me, Mom and Amrit uncle. That plum cake and mom's sweet treats for dinner. That Christmas was the only time when we all spent together as a family on the table, forgetting everything that happened. Now, the worst part is there is no one else to sit with."

Sally placed her hand over mine calmly. "Don't worry. I am there with you."

"Thank you," Kevin said wiping the tears across his face. 

"You know I can't spare you for the rest of your life. Now, Peacefully eat the noodles."

Kevin laughed so hard that he almost choked on his noodles. Sally couldn't hold back her laugh watching him choke on himself. 

"Sometimes, you just sound like.." Kevin said.

"Like?"

"Like...Nothing, Leave it."

He took another bite from his fork. He turned to the glass pane at the other end of the table and his face froze at that spot. 

"What happened?" Sally asked him.

"N... Natasha. That's Natasha."

Sally didn't believe her brother at first. As she turned around, even she was in for a shock. Natasha was at the other end of the street in a red satin dress running towards the right. Sally was sitting in her place with her mind playing with random thoughts on her mind. 

"Sally, come fast."

Sally couldn't hear Kevin's voice. Kevin puts his hand over her shoulder and shakes her body. In an instant, Kevin gets a slap on his face. Sally woke up out of her daydream. 

"I am so sorry," Sally said rubbing his cheeks

"No, No. It's fine." Kevin said looking at her suspiciously. "Come, Let's go."
