The next day at uni...

"Ha? You made her biscuits?" Hangout at the pavillion again. Orihara was afraid it'd collapse soon, with all that carving Naima did... "I mean... that's the best I could do..." "Uh-huh, sure. You two are so gay." "Naima, stop! It's not like that..."
Naima grinned. "C'mon, Picasso. You like her, don't you?"
With all her courage, Orihara nodded. "Yep, you got me there..." "YAAAAS, KNEW IT!! So when are you going to tell her, huh? Today?" "What, no! She's still ill in bed and we haven't even kissed yet...! Besides, she's probably not even into me." "You're really complicated to understand. Just tell her your feelings? I think Ado wouldn't destroy you. She's too soft for that." "True..."

Naima was right, she had to confess. At this point, it was barely bearable containing it. "By the way, Orihara, do you have some spare time left after your lectures?" "Huh, why's that?" "I want to invite you to the tea house. My parents gave me some money recently and I thought 'why not waste it for my friends?'" "Ah... sure..."

A promise is a promise. So after her lecture ended, Orihara spotted the rebel at the gate, sitting next to a dragon and... sleeping? "Naimaa! Good morning!" "WAH, STUPID- Oh, it's just you. You and Ado really have a talent for sneaking up at someone." "Really? Thank-" "It still doesn't mean that you two can just scare me when you want it! Jerks..."

The two went through the city towards their destination: the Kousen Tea House. The two were taking place and ordering the same as last time, and Merry could join in too. "Say, where did you leave Ado? Does she have something to do?" "She's ill in bed. Her lover made her cookies." Naima grinned whilst Orihara went as red as her hairtips. "Yeah, I did... I thought it would be nice, from friend to friend-" "Aww, that's so cute! Naima, that reminds me when you were asking me out! You brought me a bunch of daisies and threatened me to break my arm if I don't go out with you... romantic, aren't you?"

Naima froze, and Orihara's eyes lit up. "You two are... dating?" "Yep, we are! Naima didn't tell you, didn't she?" "Of course I didn't! I'm still kind of... new to all of this..." "Well, luckily your girlfriend is a little more outgoing." Merry gave the rebel a kiss. "AGHH, NOT IN PUBLIC!!! Idiot!"
Orihara laughed. "Not in a million years I would've guessed that... but I'm happy for you two. And I'm a little more confident, too." "Great, that's what I wanted to achieve. Naima talks about you two nonstop... how good you'll fit togheter and stuff." "Merry, don't talk that much! Ugh..." "Okay, okay, I'm silent..."

After saying goodbye and thanking Naima for paying her tea, Orihara continued her travel, right to the house of her best friend. 「I'm so nervous...」 Kiyoshi greeted her at the door again. "Wow, look who it is." "Uhm... ah... yeah... is Ado alright?" "Sort of? I mean, she's ill, what do you expect. But please come in before you freeze too!"
Inside, Orihara took her coat off. "Actually, I have a question." "Hmm?" "Does your sister have a gluten allergy?" "Not that I'd know of. I think she doesn't even have any allergy... Just a really weak immune system." A wave of relief hit the artist. "Phew, okay... it's because I made her biscuits." "Oh, really? Can I try one?" "Mmm... But just because you're her brother!" She gave Kiyo one of the biscuits. "Wow... they're really good. I bet she'll love them."

With that, Orihara went upstairs again, politely knocking at the door as always. This time though, she got a quiet 'come in' as response.
So she opened the door.
Ado was sitting on her bed, looking a little like a burned out businessman. "Hi Ado, how are you?" "I'm... fine. Really... I think the illness isn't that strong today." "I'm glad." Orihara took place next to her friend, who instantly leaned onto her. "I missed you, Orihara... your voice, your hands, your warmth..." "Huh, I'm not the warm one of us?" Ado laughed. "It went well with the other things..." "Oh, by the way," - Orihara held up the little bag with the biscuits - "I made you these. Your brother said they taste really goo, I hope he's right..." "That... You... you really did this for me?" Orihara nodded. "Only for you." Ado opened the bag and beamed. "Oh my god, they have blue roses on them!" "You said they'll bring you eternal luck... So, uhm, I hope they'll assist you with defeating the illness!"

Ado felt like crying again. The fact that Orihara remembered her favourite flower and tried her best in baking... That's so sweet of her. She better stops being so cute or Ado would explode!

"Let's share them. I want to show you something, too..." "What is it?" "Can you get me my guitar? Over there." Ado pointed to her guitar. Honestly, Orihara never noticed the instrument...
As soon as Ado was holding it, she spoke up. "See, I was composing a new song... It's called 'Himawari, I bet you'll like it."

Then she began to brush over the strings. Orihara listened to every tune and every word, silently munching on a biscuit. Ado was occasionally interrupted by her own coughs, but she still could sing pretty well. It was like a dream, like time had stopped and it was only them right now.
After Ado played the last chord, Orihara couldn't say a thing. "Was it good?" "Not only good... It was amazing! Say, how did you do that?"

The singer just smiled softly. "I was fueled by love."
