I like this image I took of 5 ice cubes today

The following day, October 24th, at point 10 A.M. When Ado came down the stairs to say good morning to her brother, she was greeted by Kiyoshi holding a little cupcake with a candle on it. And of course he sang happy birthday, too...
"Ahhh, Kiyo, stop. You're making me red...!" "As your brother it's my duty to be the first one to gratulate. So... Happy birthday!" "You said that... how much? Five times by now?" "You'll recieve it even more today." "Right..."
Even the thought of spending a whole day with friends almost made Ado jump through the roof.
"Thank you anyways, Kiyo." She gave her brother a little kiss on the cheek. After all, he was always there for her. At every. single. birthday.

A few minutes later, the two heard a honk from outside.
There was a Benz in front of the house. Stop, what??
The window lowered, and at the steering wheel was... Naima? 「How does the rebel have a driving license... Is this a dream?」
"C'mon, birthday girl! Hop in!"
Ado looked at her brother. "You heard her. Go and have fun!" Kiyoshi gave his sister a biiiiig hug. "If anything goes wrong, you can call me, yep?" "I will... thank you so much."
Then she got over to the Benz and squeezed herself on one of the back seats. Right next to her best friend.

"Hey there, Ado. Did your brother bake you a cake?" The singer giggled. "Well, almost. He made a small cupcake with a candle on it." "Such a considerate brother... I wish Toryo would do that for me." "She's a cat, don't set your standards too high!" The two laughed.
Just then, Merry turned around from the passenger's seat. "Actually, where do you guys want to go? Naima definitely wants to visit the haunted house and I'd like to try the rollercoaster, so what about you two?"
"THE FERRIS WHEEL!!!" Before Ado could say anything, the artist shot out her thoughts. "I heard that it's really new, so I got to check it out!" "And what about the birthday kid?"

Ado thought for a while. "Mm.. Honestly... I have no idea. I haven't been there in a few years, so... let's just see what's there?" Merry gave a thumbs up. "Alrighty then. Naima, when are we here?" "Stop asking that, dumbass!"

After some more minutes of Merry asking and Naima almost exploding, the four arrived at the amusement park. The whole area seemed like its own little city, and it was pretty active today too.
"

Agh, damn... Why are there so many people?" The rebel was slightly distressed by seeing all the people. "The wait times will take up to an hour, probably." "Relax, Naima. It's not the end of the world."
Orihara felt a hand around her own. "Ah... Ado, are you uncomfortable in crowds?" "Very. You could say I have small claustrophobia..." "Me too... Well, as long as we have us, nothing can happen, right?"

After walking for some time, the four arrived at their first stop: the haunted house. "Are you all ready for the scariest and most traumatizing experience in your whoooole life?" Naima really had to set up the atmosphere. Gulp.
Actually, the haunted house wasn't so bad at first. There were a few bones and skeletons lying around and some ghosts floating around at the ceiling. "Man, that's boring." "Well, didn't you want to go there?" "Yeah, but i thought it was more like- KYAAAAAH???" Something jumpscared the rebel, who instantly jumped onto her girlfriend. "Naima, that's just a centipede... with... a demon mask?" "I SWEAR IT WANTED TO GET ME!!"
A little behind, the artist and the singer were holding onto their dear life. "Uhmmm, Ado, was it really a good idea to tag along...?" "N... no worries! Haunted houses aren't the worst here, right?" "Right...!"

Finally, all of them got out. Surprisingly, Merry was the only one who wasn't shaking like a loose leaf. "Come on guys, it wasn't that bad, was it?" "A demonic centipede attacked me!" "Aside from that..." "Well... It's not called haunted house for nothing... A pretty frightening experience, for sure..." Ado sighed. "I wouldn't visit it again, though."

Then the four got to the next bullet point on their list: the rollercoaster. This time though, Ado and Orihara decided not to tag along.
"These two really have a sense for extremity..." Orihara looked at the looping of the rollercoaster. "You're saying it. That's probably why they're girlfriends." "I bet so."
It's now or never! Say it!
"Hey, uhm, Ado?" "Hmm?" "I really need to tell you something..." "Oh no, don't say Toryo died!" "What? She would never! No, that's not it." "Phew, I'm glad..." "So, I've been thinking for a long time... and I might actually have fallen in l-"
Ado covered her best friend's mouth. "What you're probably willing to say is something I've wanted to hear for a long time... I... need to be mentally prepared for that." She gave Orihara a genuine smile. "I'm really glad you found the courage to do it..."

Orihara's heart sank a little. Was that a rejection? No, it didn't sound like it. Giving Ado some more time to think... that sounds fair. I mean, which weirdo would confess to their friend at the rollercoaster in an amusement park? "Sure... I'll give you some time..." The singer hugged her friend. "Please don't be mad at me now, okay?" "Mad at you? Why should I? Honestly, I probably chose the worst setting of it all." Orihara chuckled. "Don't worry, I'm going to try again."

Ado grinned. "I'll wait for it."
