"𝙵𝚊𝚒𝚕𝚞𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚑𝚞𝚖𝚊𝚗."

About five weeks later...

Orihara was having a certain girl with a birth mark over. Since Saku needed a little break from her daughter, the artist suggested to take care of her for a few days.

"Miss Orihara, look at that." Gira held up her drawing. "Ooh, what's that, an angel?" A nod from the younger girl. "Looks awesome... does it have a story?" "Not really..." "Well, that's okay. People with a mysterious past are even more interesting." Orihara grinned, then she showed her drawing too. "Woahhh... I envy your skill... How can I become as good as you?" "You're such a cutie, Gira. I actually envy your skill too... Wings are pretty hard, you know?"
The artist earned a little smile from the child.

Just then, the two heard a knock. "I'll go and look who it is. Be careful, your art is delicious enough to attract the wild lion..."
Orihara stood up and opened the door. It was... could you guess?
The singer! Hooray!!
"Oh, Ado? What brings you here?" "Some pigeons told me you have a visitor today." Ado smirked. "So why not stop by and say hi?" "Seriously, this is the second time you're doing this..."

There was a gentle tug at the artist's sleeve. "Miss Orihara... can we continue?" Gira felt a little shy. Ado had a pretty intimidating aura, after all...
"If that isn't my girlfriend's neighbour." The singer crouched down. "Hey there, Gira. Did you two have fun?" Gira nodded shyly, still holding onto the artist's arm. "I'm glad. You know, I'm a little jelly of you that you get to do stuff with her. She's been neglecting me a little, you know?" "Hey, Ado, that's a little too far! If you're really that desperate to spend time with me, you have to join our drawing contest!" Orihara let out a sigh. "Oh? You bet! They didn't call me Art-do in elementary for nothing!"

A few minutes later, all three were sketching on the paper. "Is it okay for you two if I'm going to make us something to drink?" "Sure thing. Heh, I'm so gonna win that..." Orihara grinned, then got up and went to the kitchen.
Just to encounter Toryo, shallowly breathing on a shady spot. The artist gently petted her. "Stay strong, Toryo..." Then she made some lemonade and returned to the two.

"There we go." Putting down the tablet with the three glasses, Orihara sat down at her place again. "So, is everyone done?" The two nodded.
Gira showed off first. "Woah, is that a doll?" The artist was a little stunned, seeing the child nod. "That one's amazing... What did you draw, Ado?" "Heh, glad you're asking!"
Ado held up her drawing. It was... "Is that a tooth?" "It's not any tooth! It's my wisdom tooth! Her name's Ha-chan." "That's..." "So cool!" Gira beamed. Finally, she saw the childish Ado.

Then it was Orihara's turn. Both of the visitors gasped. She had drawn five ghosts emerging from a torch. "I think Orihara won." "Me too..." "Haha, thank you two. Now enjoy your lemonade, okay?"
Orihara leaned against the couch as she sipped the cold drink. It was kind of weird... Cold drinks in a cold month? Well...
「Weird is the new normal...」
"Hm... It's kind of refreshing. I haven't had lemonade in eternity." "You've definitely missed something out then." "Miss Orihara's lemonade is really good." "Oh, thanks." Gira leaned against her caretaker and closed her eyes.

After a few minutes, Ado spoke up. "You're really good with children, Orihara." "Mm, you think?" "Gira seems like she's really insecure about... literally everything. So... I don't only think, I know you're good with children." The artist grinned. "So you want to have kids, or what?" "What?? No! At least... not yet." "Take your time. I know you're a little slower than the average society - that's what makes you so adorable." "Hmm, you might be right."
The singer gave her a smooch. "You're such a flirt sometimes, you know that?" "I'm trying my best... Aghhh, can you do me a favour?" "Sure." "Promise me that you'll spend an entire week with me when Gira's back home. Please... I'm so starved."

Ado laughed a little. "Sure, if that's your wish..." She took her girlfriend's hands and held it for some time. Orihara's hands were a little bigger, but also more pale. She should definitely get more sunlight...
How about doing a roadtrip in Naima's benz one day? Or fly to another country? Maybe something european...
Just then, she felt something at her shoulder.
Orihara had fallen asleep. That's crazy; first Gira, now her? Well, taking care of kids can tire you out. Ado smiled a little wider.
"Rest well, my sweet potato."
