Orihara came down the stairs again. "Seems like my sister showed you the song she's been cooking up." "Yeah, she really has a talent for that..."
The two were silent for some seconds. "Uhm, Kiyo, I need your advice." "What is it?" "How to tell someone to love them?"
Kiyoshi smirked. "Why are you asking me? Do you think the old man has more experience than you?" "Sort of..." "Hah, you must be really desperate then... Well, just be direct? It's really easy to say 'I love you', so what's wrong with that?" "It's not... It's too simple, you know? I want it to be like a firework... Something she'll never forget."
"You're a lesbian?" "Huh? Wh- oh! No, no, not like..." Orihara looked away. For god's sake, that's what Merry was talking about! Quit being ashamed of it!
She nodded hesitantly. Kiyo's smirk turned into a genuine smile. "Hey, I won't judge you. I'm not a homophobe, you know. Well, girls are a little harder to understand... Perhaps tell it to her at some special event? Maybe Christmas or New Year... Or ask yourself what you'd like the most." "That's fair. Thanks, Kiyo." "Haha, no worries. But say, who's the victim? Is it my sister?" "No! Definitely not her! How'd you get the idea? I would never! She's just a friend!" "Sure, sure..."

Ado heard the two talking from upstairs. Okay, she didn't really hear what they were talking about, but it was probably something which wouldn't involve her, right? The last thing she needed was to worry about the gossip between her brother and her best friend. Whatever, it was probably the best if she'd rest a little.
But she couldn't.
Fuck, she needed a distraction! Maybe read a book... Ado shakily stood up and wandered over to her bookshelf. Let's see... She pulled out The Strait Gate and went back to her bed to read it.

「Enter ye at the Strait Gate.」

At her apartment, Orihara was procrastinating about how to confess the best. Ado's birthday might be a little too early... Christmas was too late... Ugh, what a pain. She decided to text Naima, maybe she had an idea.

ORIHARA ⇒ Do you have any ideas how to confess? I'm really nervous.
NAIMA ⇒ What, you still didn't do it? Are you dumb???ヽ('Д´)ノ
ORIHARA ⇒ We can't even kiss
ORIHARA ⇒ Her illness is getting better, though...
NAIMA ⇒ How about the graduation prom? You two can dance and make out afterwards (° ~ ° ~)
ORIHARA ⇒ That's true... Thank you
NAIMA ⇒ Don't chicken out again ヽ(*゚ー゚*)ノ

The graduation prom, hm? Orihara almost forgot that this thing existed. Maybe she should be more aware of her surroundings...
But it was still three weeks waiting until it'd happen. And the worst thing is: What on god's green earth should she wear? She didn't have any dresses nor suit... It's probably the best if she'd decide that later.

"Toryo, Toryo, come here! Pspspsps..." For some reason, the calico was missing. Agh...
It wasn't a common occurrence that the cat would be at a spot where Orihara wouldn't see her. She was 10 years old, after all... Wait, maybe she was dead? No, that can't be.
The artist looked everywhere, even in places Toryo wouldn't even fit into. Finally, she spotted the cat outside the window. "Toryo! How did you get outta here? Oh man, come in..."
Toryo listened. For a cat, she was really obedient.

Come on, Toryo is one of the coolest characters in this book. We should praise her a little...

Orihara didn't have much to do anymore. The only thing left to do were her diary and dinner. So she did them.
Whilst her instant food was (again) spinning in the microwave, she tried her best in speed art. Ado between a lot of blue roses, only a singular red one blooming at her heart. As soon as she got most of the lineart done, she got her food out of the microwave. 「I need another roommate...」 With her steaming hot noodle cup, she resumed the drawing.

Later, in bed already, Orihara couldn't fall asleep. She decided to text Ado at least a goodnight.

ORIHARA ⇒ Sleep well, Ado ♡

She was caught by surprise when she immediately got a reply.

ADO ⇒ you too
ADO ⇒ feel hugged for tonight ★
ORIHARA ⇒ I will, thank you so much ♡♡

「AAAAAAAAAAH」 Now Orihara was really going into cardic arrest. She had to release a quiet giggle, before Ado sent another message.

ADO  ⇒ I prepared this text for when I'm confident, so I'm going straight to-

Then she deleted it again. Huh-

ADO ⇒ sorry wrong contact
ADO ⇒ have sweet dreams anyways

Okay, that was weird. Well, better not worry about that now. Orihara should really sleep now.
"Goodnight, Toryo. Don't you dare to escape again..."

❨Y'all have to agree this shit was boring as hell omfg; I'm running out of plot help❩
