It's daytime now as the cruiser flies over the endless cityscape of Coruscant, the capital of the galaxy.
In the cockpit, Anakin looks out the window in awe.
"Coruscant... the entire planet is one big city. There's Chancellor Valorum's shuttle. And look over there, Senator Palpatine is waiting for us."
"It must have been strange for you, seeing a whole new planet. I remember what I felt when I left Naboo for the first time." Eva states.
"Yeah, it was an...experience." Anakin sighs. "It took a while to get used to but now it's normal. I don't really miss Tatooine. I didn't like it. The only thing tying me to that place is my Mother. That's what made it hard to leave."
Eva smiles at him and grabs his hand, squeezing it comfortingly. "If she saw you now, she would be so proud of you, Ani."
"Thank you." He smiles. "It means a lot to me that you would say that."
The ship flies through the cityscape of Coruscant.
Supreme Chancellor Valorum, several guards, and Senator Palpatine stand on a landing platform.
The sleek Naboo spacecraft lands on the platform high above the street level of the galactic capital. The ramp lowers. Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Jar-Jar and Anakin descend the ramp first and bow before Palpatine and Valorum.
Captain Panaka, two guards, Queen Amidala, then Eva, Padme, Rabe, Eirtae, and more guards descend the ramp. Queen Amidala stops before the group. Anakin and Jar-Jar stand to one side, looking at the huge city. Eva smiles at Anakin and Jar-Jar. Palpatine bows before the Queen.
"It is a great gift to see you alive, Your Majesty. With the communications breakdown, we've become very concerned. I'm anxious to hear your report on the citation. May I present Supreme Chancellor Valorum," The Senator introduces the Chancellor, gesturing to the tall, thin, greying old man.
"I am grateful for your concern, Chancellor." Amidala greets.
Palpatine starts to lead Queen Amidala and her retinue off the platform toward a waiting air taxi.
"There is a question of procedure, but I feel confident we can overcome it..." Palpatine starts.
Jar-Jar and Anakin follow the Queen, Palpatine, Eva, Padme, Rabe and Eirtae to the taxi.
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan stop to speak with Valorum as they watch the group head towards the taxi.
"I must speak with the Jedi Council immediately. The situation has become more complicated."
In Palpatine's quarters anteroom, Queen Amidala is sitting listening to Palpatine. Eirtae, Padme and Rabe stand behind the Queen; Eva is nowhere to be seen. Anakin and Jar-Jar are waiting in an adjoining room. They can see the Queen but cannot hear what is being said.
Captain Panaka enters and then goes into the room with Queen Amidala.
Now in the living quarters, Palpatine is seen pacing as Captain Panaka enters. Eirtae and Rabe stand to one side.
"...the republic is not what it once was. The Senate is full of greedy, squabbling delegates. There is no interest in the common good. I must be frank, Your Majesty, there is little chance the Senate will act on the invasion."
