The hallway is filled with joyful chuckles and the soft pattering of footsteps running along the marble.

Eva and Anakin are running hand-in-hand along the bright hallways of the temple, arms full of food.

"Shhh," Anakin whispers with a chuckle when Eva laughs a little too loud. He's leading her to a private area that is typically not allowed for anyone to enter other than the Council, so they could get in a lot of trouble if they get caught. Not like Anakin cares though.

"Hurry," Eva whispers back with an exhilarated smile.

Anakin leads her to a secret door hidden behind a small statue in an alcove. He waves his hand and the door opens. Quickly the two slip through unnoticed and the door shuts behind them.

The room they entered contains a stairwell, both leading up and down the levels of the temple.

Anakin looks at Eva over his shoulder to check if she's okay, once his eyes meet hers, a large beaming smile slips across lush scarlet lips. Anakin smiles back and leads her up the stairs.

They climb, and climb, and climb some more until...

Anakin opens another door, this time leading to the roof of the temple. He leads her past several walls and vents before stopping in front of a small hidden alcove. On the floor is a brown blanket with several pillows tucked against the wall. Fairy Lights hang from the wall giving the little hideout a warm glow. The alcove is concealed by a small roof to keep clear from the rain.

Eva - upon gazing at the cozy area - can tell that this is a spot that is precious to Anakin, especially when the boy sends her a nervous smile over his shoulder. Her heart warms at the thought that he wanted to share something so private and precious to him with her.

"I come here a lot when things become too much down there. It's peaceful, quiet." Anakin explains nervously, releasing her hand to rub against the back of his head sheepishly.

"It's nice. I love it." Eva comments, walking forward and taking a seat on a pillow, her front facing the breathtaking view of the lively city in front of her. The only sounds that reach the tower of the temple they're seated on are the faint hums of speeders flowing through the veins of the dystopian city. "I get why you like it so much." She breathes.

Anakin sits beside her and places the food on the floor between them. He takes a second to look at the vast city before turning to her, his breath catching once more at the ethereal sight before him.

The warm glow from the small fairy lights casts a honey gleam on her pale skin, reflecting against the small freckles kissing her gentle face, making them shine like the bright constellations above. Can she get any more beautiful? His heart stutters and he feels incapable of breathing. For ten years he has loved this woman, ten years his heart has beat for her, ten long years he has wished on every shooting star, every dandelion, every fallen eyelash, that he'd get to see her. Talk to her. To... confess his undying love for her. He could feel the words crawl up his throat but his mouth refuses to open.

Eva turns to him when the silence between the pair persists. Her eyebrows raise when she notices the flush staining his tan cheeks and eclipsing his ears. "Are you okay? Why are you blushing?" She raises the back of her hand to his forehead to feel for a fever. She frowns when she doesn't feel anything too hot or too cold. "You don't have a fever." She notes with a confused frown.
