Mileven and Byler (AGAIN)

I'm sorry that this is like the third chapter talking about this and the thousandth time mentioning this but I found more notes I had on this, so here's the final part (maybe, actually, I can't make any promises)

The Plot Holes That Byler Happening would Leave:

As much as I hate to agree with the aggro Mileven's, Byler actually wouldn't make sense without a lot of exposition. They'd also have to really lay it on thick in season 5.

Plot holes, for example, would be like what the flying frick has been going through Mike Wheeler's head the past two seasons. When and how did he discover his feelings for Will, what's the deal with El, what is his reaction to it, etc.

But, no fear, there are also Mileven plot holes.

Plot Holes That Mileven have:

Why wasn't El talking to Mike after his speech? Obviously she was going through a lot, but there could've been at least one little moment. Maybe, if they laced their hands together in the van when they saw all of the destruction as a comfort. There is the one time in the hospital with Max when El leans into Mike but that moment was kind of weird and at the wrong time. Or maybe even like, I don't know, a wild idea of mine, an inconceivable concept but - A CONVERSATION.

Instead of a Mileven conversation after Mike's big monologue, we have a Byler moment. Lol.

And it was clear that it was expected for them to have a talk or something, because Will does ask "Did she talk to you all?" Which to me, directly refers to the monologue.

I'd also really like a proper explanation for why Mike couldn't say I love you. If it's because he's insecure then please specify. The monologue made no sense.

What if there was both?

My last point isn't really a theory but a wishful thing, to have the best of both worlds and Hannah Montana this shit.

What I mean by this, to have Byler, and acknowledge that Mike did/does have feelings for Will. It's only that his relationship with El and his relationship with El are where they're meant to be. I think it should be a mutual thing. I don't want Will to be blatantly rejected because that's so out of character for Mike and also because Will doesn't expect Mike to feel the same, doesn't need him to. The fear is that Mike won't accept him, or will treat him differently.

If El Dies:

It's been widely theorised that El will die in the final instalment, and while I'm in agreement, I do not think this will directly lead to Byler getting together.

Mileven and Byler will have to be all solved before El dies, so that everyone knows where everyone stands without a life or death situation. I don't want Will to be Mike's second choice with El as collateral damage in any instance.

Mileven Argument

Mike and El will never form another bond with someone like the one they have with each other. Just like Mike will never have a bond with someone like the one he has with Will. Mike and Will's friendship is clearly very different to their relationships with their other two best friends, Dustin and Lucas. They are also in a sense, soulmates like Mileven are, but it has to be platonic because of the existence of Mileven.

Mileven exists on an emotional plane where they can never be just friends but can also not be platonic soulmate best friends, because that is Will's rank, and always had been. If Mike and Will had met later on in life or alternatively if El and Mike had not met at all, then Byler and Mileven would be on similar planes and the former would have more of a chance than it currently does.

Mike and El also can't just go their separate ways because of how divinely interlocked their fates are. They have to be romantically together because that is how the bond was properly established and maintained. They have gone past the point where there is another way for them to be.

I don't know if all that makes full sense, but basically, in a nutshell, Mileven are endgame not because they should be or anything, but because they have to be for the other seasons to be justified.
