Recovery Girl fused over Izuku for all of twenty minutes before informing him that there wasn't any physical damage to heal. Then, she set her sights on Aizawa, berating him for even thinking of forcing all those memories back on him. She didn't calm down until Izuku pointed out that Nezu had given them permission for the activity. After she heard that, she gave him strict instructions to stay in bed and rest, before turning on her heel and storming out of her office. Izuku silently sent up a prayer for the principal, knowing the rodent would need it.
Once she was gone, the dark-haired teacher turned his eyes to the students, an exhausted sigh leaving his lips. "Can I trust you all by yourselves?"
"Couldn't get up if I wanted to," Izuku grumbled, his head still pounding and his thoughts more cloudy than they had been before he'd gotten his memories back. Every time he tried to organize his mind, more memories would flash past. It was information overload to a whole new extreme.
Aizawa nodded once, apparently satisfied with the answer. He turned to his son, a disappointed frown on his lips. "You're still on house arrest, so get moving." His tone left no room for arguments.
"Actually," Izuku spoke up, wincing as every pair of eyes in the nurse's office turned to him. "I kinda need to talk to all three of them. Can he stay?"
The pro hero looked between all four of the students, seeming to weigh out his options. Izuku wondered if he was calculating his son's survival chances. "He's got an hour before he should be back in his dorm, contemplating his life choices." Without another word, Aizawa turned and left the room.
Which left Izuku scrambling for some way to start the extremely awkward conversation he needed to have. His brain was buffering, the words slipping from his grasp before he could get his mouth to work.
"Why would you do that?" Shinsou exclaimed as soon as the door to the office clicked shut again. He sounded exasperated, looking at Izuku with wide eyes.
The green-haired teen blinked, taken aback. "Huh?" he asked dumbly. His mind was lagging fifteen minutes behind.
Shinsou shot a careful look at Shoto and Katsuki, taking a small and hesitant step away from them. "Why wouldn't you let him just drag me back to my dorm? You have your memories back, so what the fuck is there to talk about? You don't want to date me and, quite frankly, I don't want to date you. Yeah, it was kinda nice to pretend that you liked me back for a minute, but wanna know what else is nice? Converting oxygen into carbon dioxide and I'd like to do that for at least twenty more years." He finished his rant with a huff, trying to catch his breath from the quick and frantic rant.
Izuku blinked again, trying to give his brain a few seconds to catch up before he started talking. "Um... I just remember you being really adamant that I'd hate you when I got my memories back," he said softly, scratching at the back of his head as he redirected his gaze. He also remembered shamelessly throwing himself at Shinsou on more than one occasion, causing a faint blush to dust his cheeks. "Just wanted to let you know that I don't."
"You fucking should," Katsuki spoke up, his arms crossed over his chest and an angry scowl on his face.
Izuku let out a tired sigh, turning his attention to the blond. "But I can't, because if you'd been the one under the quirk six months ago I would have done the same thing as him. So, shut up and let me forgive my friend."
The blatant admittance of affection caught Katsuki so off guard that the blond blushed. It wasn't something Izuku had seen often (at least he didn't think he had, he still wasn't sure he'd gotten all of his memories back yet), and it caused a warm feeling to bloom in his chest. Oh god, emotions.
