As Kisaki left the karaoke room with Hanma, he remarked, 'I'll leave you to ponder it, but don't keep us waiting." You recalled how Chifuyu had angrily confronted Kisaki for bringing up Baji once more. Despite Chifuyu accusing Kisaki of Baji's murder, Kisaki remained composed, as usual. Your intense hatred towards Kisaki only grew stronger for causing such distress to you and Chifuyu.

As you, Chifuyu, and Takemichi stepped outside the building, the tension in the air was palpable. Chifuyu's discontent was evident from the moment he began voicing his objections. He adamantly opposed the prospect of teaming up with Kisaki, his frustration bubbling to the surface. Takemichi, perhaps overwhelmed or conflicted, seemed reluctant to engage in Chifuyu's concerns.

In a moment of urgency, Chifuyu grabbed Takemichi's shoulders, his voice rising as he forcefully reiterated the grim reality: Kisaki's involvement in the deaths of both Hinata and Baji. His words carried the weight of unresolved grief and anger.

You observed the scene, standing by Chifuyu's side, offering silent solidarity with his stance. The atmosphere crackled with unresolved emotions, highlighting the deep-seated animosity towards Kisaki and the desperate search for an alternative path forward.

Suddenly, Takemichi reached his breaking point. He erupted, "Well then, what else can we do!?" His outburst silenced both you and Chifuyu, drawing your full attention to his words. Takemichi proceeded to reveal his perspective. Despite his reluctance to collaborate with Kisaki, he firmly believed that killing him was not the solution, even considering Kisaki's future villainy. Instead, Takemichi advocated for working alongside Kisaki to uncover his true intentions. He reasoned that this alliance might provide valuable insights into Kisaki that were previously unknown to the three of you.

His stance centered on saving lives and preventing tragedies, even if it meant forging an uneasy partnership with someone as morally compromised as Kisaki.

Chifuyu and you exchanged silent nods, acknowledging the wisdom in Takemichi's reasoning. Together, you made the decision to align with Takemichi's plan of working alongside Kisaki. As you reflected on the situation, you sensed Chifuyu's reluctance to involve you further. Despite this, his belief in your abilities tempered any urge to exclude you from the plan outright. He understood that you could contribute in some capacity and refrained from pressuring you to step aside and let them handle it alone. You were prepared to step back willingly if needed, respecting Chifuyu's concerns while remaining committed to the collective goal.

"Guys, I don't think I'll be joining this time," you stated. Takemichi and Chifuyu stopped to give you their full attention. "I'll support you from behind the scenes. Plus, my mom would kill me if I'm not home for Christmas." You glanced at Chifuyu, meeting his gaze. It was evident to both of you what needed to be done. Despite your disappointment at not celebrating Christmas together with Chifuyu as you had hoped, you managed a faint smile and posed the question, "Chifuyu, what about Christmas? Looks like we won't be celebrating together, huh?"

Chifuyu swallowed hard, releasing a sigh of disappointment as he shook his head. He closed his eyes briefly, unable to bear seeing the sadness on your face. You forced a smile, though it was clear it didn't reach your eyes. "Well, based on our discussion, it seems you guys are going to team up with Kisaki. I'll head home first," you informed Chifuyu and Takemichi.

Already turning away, you were surprised when Chifuyu caught your hand before you could leave. "Wait, let me walk you home," Chifuyu offered sincerely.

You smiled softly but gently pushed Chifuyu's hand away. "It's alright. I can manage on my own. I'm strong," you assured him. Takemichi observed the exchange between you and Chifuyu, a gentle smile crossing his face as he recalled the future that awaited you both. Despite the challenges ahead, he held onto the hope that you and Chifuyu would stay together. However, the haunting memory of your tragic deaths flashed through his mind, threatening to overwhelm him with sorrow.
