Neil desperately dialed the number in , practically engraving the buttons on the phone as a last resort to avert having to go into his father's study and just-
Hello? The soft and soothing voice of Todd Anderson who had just been woken up by his call calmed him and already made him regret what he was about to do. 'Todd.' he whispered 'I can't do this anymore. You always told me to be strong but I can't. One of my favourite things that Keating taught us was Carpe Diem , seize the day. And the lord knows I can sieze the day , even if i'm dead. Just not without saying goodbye to you. Goodbye , Todd.
Todd protested as Neil reluctantly hung up the phone , now making his way to his father's study , almost trying to neglect the thought of what he would do to Todd if he went through with this.

I ran to Mr Keating's office , hoping he could take me to Neil's house , because I couldn't let him leave me, not just yet. Mr Keating's light was on , and he was awake with a good poetry book and tea , A Keating classic. 'Mr Keating' he said , almost panting. 'You need to drive me to Neil's house , now.' This was a much more commanding tone than Todd ever used , much like his barbaric yawp , and Mr Keating could immediately sense what was wrong. 'Ok.' It barely needed an answer as Keating followed closely behind Todd as they sped to his car. As Todd approached the doorway , about to knock on the handle , his mind was racing on all the possibilities , Neil could've already done it by now , his father would open the door with a teary face and would give Todd the news , pretending to care about his son's death as Todd knew better.

Neil hesitated as he stared at the gun , still wrapped in the cloth it started in. 'God.' he whispered to himself 'Please make sure Todd Anderson takes care of himself after i'm gone, he deserves to live whilst I don't even have a reason to be living. I shall write one last poem about my love for him that nobody will ever hear , but they will see a scene of a romantic poem covered in blood the colour of roses. When he heard a knock on the door , he decided if he was going to die tonight , he may as well answer a door without putting his shirt on , to carpe noctem once longer. He slowly opened the door , making an effort to not wake up his parents. What he saw was a clearly freezing cold , shivering pink nosed Todd Anderson. He didn't say a word , because smashing his lips onto Neil's was enough to create a book. Neil put his hand on Todd's cheek to show he'd waited years for this. Keating proudly looked at his students , progressingly awkward as they advanced the kiss. Soon , Keating's eyes were wide and his proudness was smashed by Neil's father walking down the stairs groggily , then laying his eyes on the two boys , kissing. 'OH MY. WHAT IN GODS NAME IS HAPPENING HERE? He said , although it wasn't a question.
