Poems (might be the last chapter but i might make moreeeee)

"hey," neil said to todd as he got back from rehearsal "what're you doing?" todd looked down. "not much. does reading poetry count?" they both laughed, for no reason at all "only if it's todd anderson!" they laughed harder, a daily occurrence in their dorm "can you read me some?" todd sighed. he hated reading aloud, but he guessed neil was an exception "fineeee.."

and then i heard you laugh
and now i believe i was made
to love everything about you

this. this was when todd realised he was in love with neil. neil perry... his vibrant, sunshine of a roommate. todd loved him.
"wow, you'll have to lend me that book sometime!" neil winked, and they both were blushing "it's the captain's," he blurted, trying to avoid eye contact with the latter. "u-uh, are you tired? i'm tired. we should go to bed." he quickly said, pondering this new revelation "sure...?" neil was confused and worried about the manner in which todd had just used. "fnvnemdkowkekvmfnw" was all neil could hear in his mind. TODD. just read a poem to HIM. about LOVE. that killed him. he didn't read it to charlie, or cameron, or meeks. HIM. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
this was 100% gonna be a long conversation with charlie tomorrow...

"so... what did you want to talk about?" charlie asked "OH MY GOSSHHHHH! lastnighttoddreadapoemtomebecauseiaskedanditwasaboutloveomgomgomgomgomg!!!" charlie had the most confused look on his face, which faded to happiness as he deciphered what neil said "what..? WHAT!" they both laughed, charlie with pride, neil with love and anxiety "I KNOWW!" "so...tell me how it all went down!!!"
"ok, I had just come back from rehearsals, and I couldn't wait to see todd. I said hey to him, and asked what he was doing. he said he was reading poetry, that the captain lent to him and i asked him to read me some. he could've picked any poem on that page, but he picked one about love, one that totally resonates with him!! his face, after that went red, and he looked like he was shocked. i'm still thinking, why was he shocked? I WINKED at him, I don't even know why, and then he got all awkward, and he started talking really quick and said we should go to sleep. I don't know whyyy..." "OH MY GOD. YOU IDIOT! HE'S IN LOVE WITH YOU. he realised, when you winked at him. GO FOR ITT!!!" charlie must've been the loudest person in the world when he said this, and by chance, who was walking by? todd anderson. his face, looked of betrayal "who's in love with you, neil?" charlie almost shouted "YOU!", but neil predicted this and put his hand on top of charlie's mouth to prevent it "this girl, from the play. i'm thinking about confessing to her soon!" now, there were two people looking at him with betrayal, charlie and todd. "oh! good luck." todd said, evidently bitter, but hiding it and holding back tears. he, then not so secretly ran away, toward his dorm. "man, you really hurt him.."
"I know" neil contemplated running after him, and telling the truth but he decided against it for the sake of todd "what the f-ck just happened."

now, instead of schoolgirl like laughter being heard from their dorm, it was complete silence. and they both pretended they didn't know why "hey, todd. i'm sorry, for lying..." todd's face lit up "what do you mean?" neil didn't know what he meant, but he'd find out sometime soon "i mean, i don't love the girl from the play. there is no girl from the play. I. love. you." both of them had an uncontrollable smile on their face, including charlie, who was eavesdropping "do you mean it..?" who would ask a question like this? "of course I mean it, todd! you'd be an idiot to even ask anyone that, who wouldn't love you?" todd's face suddenly darkened like a winter night "my parents.." neil couldn't deal with this, couldn't hold back anymore. he placed his hands on todd, cupping his cheeks "can i kiss you?" who would say no to that, especially when it was asked by neil perry? todd nodded, and pure love was kindled in that very moment.
