I went home as quick as I could, I opened my house door just to see my mom coming down stairs, mom what are doing her I said in a raspy voice as if I've been crying but I know I didn't cry even though I was holding my tear's away.

I forgot a file so I came back to get it, are you alright she asked, I'm fine,I quickly ran to my room. After some few minutes I heard a knock on my door I know who it was so I just said come in, I saw my mom coming in with my favorite cup of tea she placed it at the side table close to my bed.

You okay darling she asked, I'm fine i replied, because your school called me they told me that you didn't come for afternoon classes, she said as she patted my shoulder, I'm fine mom I'm jus- before I knew it I busted out crying, oh darling she said as she hugged me, I'm sorry mom I'm so sorry I said as I hiccup, you know today we got our test back and i didn't get the best note, what was your note my mom asked, i-i  I couldn't bring myself to speak I was breathing so badly and heavenly Ali my mom said Ali look at me she said as she placed her hand on my face, whatever note you go even if it was 20 just know I'm proud of you, BUT I'M NOT MOM I said as I shouted I'm not proud of myself I said as I was weeping I got 98 and I wasn't the first position and he had to rub it in my face, who? She asked, the guy that got higher than me.

Oh darling my mom said as she hugged me, you shouldn't cry because of that, I knew i shouldn't cry but I couldn't help it and I didn't know why.

Listen she said why don't I make your favorite dish while you rest, also your not going to school tomorrow, mo- nu uh I've said it and that finally you've never missed school and one day won't hurt, I wanted to resist but I didn't have to strength to.

Okay I said as I laid on the bed, I wanted to sleep that was the only to that was on my mind now.

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up to a door bell, who was it- OH MY GOD I checked the time to see it was three pm. God why did I wake up so late I've never done this before but it felt good after what happened yesterday I need to get the most amount of sleep I could.

I heard a knock on my door who is it? I asked Alison it us maya and Kiara.. I knew they would've come today since I didn't go to school, I remember telling them that if I never went to school that means I must've died.

Come in I said, how ar- oh lord Maya said as she saw me her mouth opened, I didn't understand her until I looked at my mirror , lord this was horror, out of all days I decided to make up it had to be yesterday, my eyes were red while my face was black because of my massacra, I looked horrible, I looked more than horrible, I wasted no time as l went to my bathroom and washed my face.

I came back to see maya and Kiara already seating on my bed. Come maya said and tell us what happened Kiara continued.

I know your shocked I didn't come to school today, we're not shocked Kiara said we're just glad you aren't dead, remember Maya said, yeah I do, I said and I quote " The day I don't come to school is the day I'm dead" we looked at each other than laughed.

Yeah like how will yun hee feel if she comes back from a wedding just to go to a funeral the next day maya said, seriously I told her , speaking of yun hee should I call her Kiara said she should know what happened, no don't i said it's nothing serious she would just be worried for nothing.

Well than tell us what happened maya said, well yesterday we got our revision test back, yeah maya and Kiara said in unison, and I got 98 out of hundred, that's good right maya said, yeah it is Kiara replied. But i wasn't the first position, maya and Kiara looked confused, then who was?
Eric , Eric they both shouted together, yeah he got a 100/100 I said and that was you know kind of weird for me to not be know as first place.

So you cried because of that? Kiara said looking confused, yeah (well not really I cried because of how mean eric was but I couldn't tell them that)

Then why's he outside your house then? Kiara said HIS OUTSIDE I said looking shock, yeah he is it seems like he cared about you maya said.

More like he wanted to rub it on my face I said, is he still outside? Yeah maybe maya said. I quickly stood up from my bed and went close to my window. They he was standing infront of my house. I quickly opened the door then shouted
HEY ERIC , he turned back and looked shocked.

Enjoy your victory while it lasts because this will be the first and last time I said, he smiled then replied guess I'm seeing you on Monday then.

Oh Trust me you'll see more than me I said as I closed my window, after what happened yesterday I was sure about my feeling's with him, we were nothing but class mate and he was my rivalry.
