CHAPTER TWENTY

ERIC

I was working out at my private gym which was on the third floor, it was Friday but I didn't go to school since today was a public holiday, while I was boxing the punching bag my phone rang.

I saw who was calling me and it was maya, why was she calling me? I have her number but we never talked I picked it up but before I could speak Maya spoke " are you with Alison?" She asked  "maya manners " I heard Yun hee say.

I wanted to speak but before I could maya talked, "hi eric how are you? I'm sure your fine, are you with Alison?" she said it all in one breath.

"What's wrong?" I asked "Nothing" Maya said

" I told you he isn't with her". maya said.

"With who" I asked but she didn't reply she must've taught she offed the call I wanted to off it but then I heard Maya say something "we should call damon" Maya said "trust me, if eric doesn't know where Alison is damon won't" Yun hee replied  "the last time i checked Alison was closer to Damon than eric" maya said.

I offed the call i didn't have time for there chitchat I needed to find my girl.

I quickly changed in another outfit and got my motorcycle, I was infront of Alison's house I parked my motorcycle thirty minutes away from her house. Where could she be i thought.

Then i remembered how she said her second home was the library.

FLASHBACK

"Do you have any libraries close to your house?" Alison asked "why?" I asked.

"Just answer my question?" She replied "yeah,why?".

"I'll go there" .

"Why?"

"Because the library is my second home, I just like spending my time there " she said "that wasn't what I asked you but okay " I replied .

I heard her mumble "idiot" under her breath.

END OF FLASHBACK

I needed to find a library close to her house I spent thirty minutes searching for any library close to get house and finally I found a library i entered it was so huge I spent five minutes searching for her suddenly I saw a blonde girl sitting close to the books shelf I knew exactly it was her. I came to her she saw me but didn't say anything nor did I , I quietly sat beside her.

"What are you doing here"  she asked me I could feel the pain in her voice but I didn't say anything" I came to get a book" I lied "so your telling me that you rode two hours from your house just to get a book?" she asked me. "of course not,I went to the library close to my house and they didn't have the book also they recommend this library" I lied and smiled are her but she did that's when I decided to talk to her

"What's wrong" I asked, "it's my mom" she replied

"What happened to her?", 'She's.. she's.." she said trying to speak but she was finding it difficult "take a deep breath" I said trying to calm her as I put my hand on hers.

"She's in the hospital she had an accident" she was finally able to say it.

I looked at me then she started crying I  hugged her " i don't want anything to happen to her, she's the only one I have in this world. She's always told me it her and me against the world I-i-"  she said struggling to speak, "shhhh"  I  said touching wile caressing her hair trying to calm her down.

I've never seen her like this even when she had a panic attack or when she slept in my house because it was raining, she wasn't like this I didn't know what to do to stop her from crying. I know that it's only her and her mom but I want to be someone she could lean on anytime she had a problem I want to be someone who she could always rely on.
