CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Author's pov

The teacher called on them to answer a tricky question, and they both eagerly raised their hands.

"I can answer that," eric said with a smirk.

Alison shot him a withering look. "Please, you don't know the first thing about this subject."

Eric looked at her bristled at her words, his competitive nature flaring. "Oh, really? I'm pretty sure I know more about this than you ever will."

Alison crossed her arms, her eyes flashing with determination. "Oh, you're so sure of yourself. But I bet I can prove you wrong."

The teacher watched on, amused at their dynamic. "Why don't you both take a seat and let's hear from someone else for now."

Two of them reluctantly took their seats, still glowering at each other, As the class dismissed, Eric lingered behind. "You think you can beat me, huh? Don't get too cocky."

Alison raised an eyebrow, a sly smile playing at her lips. "I guess we'll see who comes out on top for the final exams,won't we?"

Eric darkened as he took a step closer to her. "I don't lose, you know that, right?"

Alison tilted her head back, her breath catching as she met his gaze. "Neither do I."

The air felt thick with tension, both of them aware of the underlying attraction between them. Eric took a deep breath, his eyes tracing her lips. "Why do you always have to be so stubborn? It's infuriating."

"And why do you always have to be so cocky?" she retorted, her voice lower now. "It's not very attractive."

He took another step towards her, closing the distance between them. "Isn't it? I could have sworn you were checking me out earlier."

Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, but she tried to play it off with a scoff. "In your dreams, idiot."

He chuckled, enjoying her flustered state. "Deny it all you want, but I saw the way you looked at me. You can't resist me any more than I can resist you."

She rolled her eyes, trying to keep her cool. "You're delusional, you know that?"

He leaned in closer, his breath hot against her ear. "I could prove it to you, you know. Just one kiss and you'll be begging for more."

She froze, her breath catching in her throat. His words sent a shiver down her spine, and she knew that he was right. She wanted him, despite their constant bickering and competition.
Still, she couldn't let him know how much he affected her. "As if I'd ever give you the satisfaction," she said, trying to sound defiant.

He smirked, his hand coming up to trace her jawline. "I bet you will. Eventually."

Her heart raced as his touch sent electricity through her body. She should push him away, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Instead, she leaned into his touch, her eyes fluttering closed.

He chuckled, clearly enjoying the effect he had on her. "I knew it. You want me just as much as I want you."

"Shut up," she muttered, her voice coming out shaky. He was driving her crazy with his cocky attitude and his confident touch.

He chuckled again, his fingers tracing her collarbone now. "Why don't you make me?"

She was lost in the sensation of his touch, her mind a jumble of conflicting emotions. Part of her wanted to push him away and maintain their rivalry. But another, more primal part of her wanted him more than anything.

She opened her eyes and met his gaze, her voice husky. "You're really asking for it, aren't you?"

Her lips tingled with anticipation, her body yearning for his touch. She tried to play it cool, but he could see the way her eyes dilated and her breathing quickened.

"You're such an arrogant jerk," she managed to say, even as she leaned in towards him.

He woke up and saw it was all a dream "what the hell?" He said while drinking a glass of water "how could I dream of something like that? especially with her my rivalry she must have possessed me that witch"

He said as he turned of the light but he wasn't able to sleep he was still thinking about the dream he just had.

ERIC

It was Monday and we were getting our test back, I still couldn't believe I hade a dream about Alison like that, like out of all things it was that.

Our math's teacher arranged the test then gave it to us, I saw the test I got 98 "what did you get" I asked Alison, ( it has literally become a tradition that we have to ask each other what we got in a test ).

"100" she said as she leaned over me to see my paper "better luck next time Mr young" she said as she winked at me.

"Okay guys since the finals are less than two months away and I don't really have anything to teach you guys" our math's teacher said.

"Let just do a question and answer it's going to be very simple and you guys have just 30 seconds and it's going to be noted" she finished.

"Okay so I'm going to ask someone questions and everyone can answer it."

24 x 5 ?

"120" Alison said, it hasn't even been 10 seconds and she already answered it.

100 x 20?

Oh I know this one I said in my head but before I could talk Alison beat me to it

"2,000"

She said

555÷5 ?

"111" me and Alison said together, Alison looked at me and I heard a girl said " oh no" but instead of talking Alison just stick out her tongue.

10^ ( -1) ?

"0.1 I" said

"You know what's funny?" A girl said   "you two aren't letting any of us to answer".

" it's not our fault you guys are slow Alison" said looking at her then she turned back.

27÷ 15?

"1.8" Alison said, she's really good at maths

"Okay this is the last question it's a tricky one but I'm sure you guys won't have a problem" the teacher said as she smiled.

X + Y³ + 2³

we head the bell rang and we all wanted to leave but the teacher stopped us " no one's going unless the question is answered, the entire class looked at me and Alison " what do they think we are robots?

K Alison shouted after two minutes "what" the teacher said. It's K the answer is K she repeated the teacher looked at her computer infront of then smiled at Alison, your right she said. Then we all left .

LATER THAT DAY

We had science next and of course we had another surprise test.

"Okay guys you guys have a test today" our teacher said "argh" half of the class said.

"Must we always have a surprise test" a girl said "well this one's easy" the teacher replied  " it's science it's never easy " another student said .

"Hey listen, if you think it's to hard then quit I'm not the one who forced you to go into medicine, I'm doing the best I can since you guys finals are less than two months away and all you guys score on science is shit" the teacher said "apart from Alison and Eric" she said pointing at us.

_Weather you want to do the test or not it's not my business" she said as she distributed the test paper, "also I'm going to correct everything today and give it to you guys tomorrow you see that's to tell you how simple this test is".

"Your school loves surprise test" I whispered to Alison who was sitting in front of me. "You'll get use to them" she said not even looking at me.

This must have been the most boring and shortest chapter I have ever written but please bear with me because of this I'll do double update today
