"Phil! It's official! I'm graduating! And..." Phil waited for my sentence to be completed. "I'm the overall batch valedictorian!"

He hugged my waist and jumped with me. I kissed his lips. He smiled and started pinching my cheeks.

"I told you, you'd do great! So, what does my valedictorian want?" Pinakawalan niya ako kaya nagkaroon ako nang pagkakataon na maupo. Umakto akong nag-iisip. "Name it, babe."

"Hmm... Parang gusto ko nung nakita nating—" Tumaas ang mga kilay ni Phil dahil sa paghinto ko. "Sandali, what's your budget? Baka sobrang mahal nung gusto ko for your budget."

"Should there be a budget, baby?" He sat on his swivel chair while facing me. "I haven't thought of it, so maybe any amount will do? No limit?"

"Ang aksaya sa pera, Phil." Ngumuso ako at napaisip.

"It's a graduation gift. It will take you years before your next graduation. So, don't worry about it. If it's beneficial for you, then let me buy it." He started fixing his study table. He sorted out his papers.

"I want a big canvas and paint." Pinaikot niya ang upuan niya para harapin ako. Sumandal siya sa sandalan nito at napangiti. "A very big one, Phil."

"Do you know what you're going to paint already?" Umiling ako at alanganing ngumiti. "Let's buy your gift tomorrow then. Early grad gift?"

I scrolled through my Instagram feed. Ang tagal ko rin palang hindi nag-open ng Instagram. The last time I used it, I posted a selfie with the caption "hmu." No wonder, there are more than 100 unread messages in my inbox. I went through the messages.

I automatically smiled when I saw a familiar username. I still remember how we became mutual! I'd follow and unfollow him, then follow him again the next day. Just so he would notice my request to follow his account. It worked after three tries. And he even followed me back.

I puffed my cheeks while waiting for his reply. Gosh, ang bilis niya naman mag-seen! Siguro wala nanaman siyang ginagawa.

Dahil doon, may sumagi sa isip ko. Sumilip ako mula sa balcony ko. Nakabukas pa ang mga ilaw sa bahay nila Phil. Ibig-sabihin, katatapos lang siguro nilang mag-dinner. I went back to bed and started kicking the air when I saw his reply. I started chatting with him.
